There's nothing you can do about the hard throttle, unlike hotspot throttle which can usually be bypassed via TTL.

An ATT prepaid sim will only work in the US, there's no international roaming unless you sign up on a postpaid plan.
Besides, when roaming it will use one of your local carrier's towers which you could test with a local prepaid sim.

So how can I do it through goldernorb? I want to get tailscale set up before I go back to openwrt. It has an option to where I can activate its web ui on the 8080 port.
First, here's how Tailscale works.

Not sure why would you need ADB/Fastboot modem access to install Talscale?
You can simply install it on a Windows or Linux box, or probably even on an OpenWRT router.

Thanks, I will try this configuration. I use digikey, because we have daily package from them at work and I can include my items in it with free shipping, but they have those quectel antennas.

Ok, I thought the antenna I picked would be a good fit. Do you have a recommendation?
Due to your constantly changing direction and location in a plane, I would try some high gain omni directional antennas (flat or round) stuck onto a window where you get the most amount of signal. Otherwise ...

So I've been using this setup for a couple years now and it's been great. I haven't done any updates because I just don't know enough about all this and don't want to lose the unlimited connection if I screw something up.
My issue that brings me here today is that over the last few months the ...

I am on the T-mobile tablet plan and was thinking about getting the GL-AP1300-LTE as well. What type of speeds are you getting? Thanks.
Depends on the modem. With an older Quectel-EC25-AF CAT4 you'll get around 20Mbps, with an EM06 CAT-6 around 50Mbps (average).
With a more modern EM160 CAT-16 ...

Okay. I'm still learning about the hardware. I keep having problems with my pings, until I've realise that the factory 4 antennas is garbage.... So, I've found two worthy antenna upgrades. I can keep it sleek and discrete or I can just simply upgrade from these crappy ones. So these are two of the ...

Probably there's a script somewhere which keeps changing the imei.
Look for any router startup or modem config scripts containing the command "AT+EGMR="
Delete it, and that should fix it.
Are you running GoldenOrb or OpenWRT firmware?

Re: Mcuzone led lights not working properly after rm500 update
It's unlikely that the modem's firmware update caused the lights to go out, it may be just a coincidence.
On the other hand, the router's firmware update can cause some light not to function which can usually be fixed, but not by AT commands.
Try replacing the LED's first.

I'm suffering the same issue here. Is changing the IMEI the only option to activate on Verizon?
Verizon is quite finicky when it comes to activation due to their weird CDMA/GSM system.
Most other GSM carriers like ATT and Tmobile activate fine in just about any device.
As I mentioned earlier ...

If you had a connector soldered in and the 10 pin out of your interface matched it's a straight connection.
Otherwise you need to tack on single wires to the pads.
Usually a 10 pin JTAG connector is 2 x 5 in either 100 mil or 50 mil pitch.
That's possible too. On the main board of phones there ...

It doesn't seem to be a speed test site like the others.
