I have both this plan and the hotspot. For some reason it doesn’t get the same signal as my Tmobile iPhone 11 Pro Max. Not even looking for 5G honestly, but I expected the same level of service as my phone.

Have you changed your Custom TTL settings to 65?
Also have you sent any band lock AT commands to your modem, they might cause an issue?
I performed a reset on mine and changed it to MBIM Mode and it works like a charm, on both Cricket and AT&T

I'm running a phone sim card(tmobile) in my mofi sim 4 and I was able to setup to have sms sent to the mofi sim # and forward it to my other phone that I actually use. The setup is in the mofi setup page.

The EM160 I just got from The Wireless Haven is doing 3xCA out of the box with no changes out in the country, which isn't bad at all. I plan to take it into the city and see what it does like I did with the Telit 960.

You might not notice any change in speeds by going to a higher cat rated modem. But than again you might be very pleased. Always a gamble as your antenna change out was an example of. I think location and provider plan has more impact on what speeds you can obtain. Your phones speed might be ...

Every time I leave IPV6 enabled, eventually the DHCP service as a whole (on OpenWRT based devices) hoses up. So I also disable it by default.
