Your cell tower may be different than 'others' can you get better speeds with a cell phone in the same location using ATT? Your tower may be congested, or the em12 may be sticking to a band that is saturated, even though it may be the strongest signal.

You've lost 4.4 dBi on your cables alone. That makes a net gain of maybe 1-2dBi over stock antennas. Upgrading to LMR400 will get you back 2.1 dBi. If you put the modem and router up on the pole you could get most all of it back.

Re: Budget replacement for Linkzone 2 on Calyx
IMEI change not needed for Calyx Hotspot plans. At least not yet.
IMEI changes aren't discussed here, but it can easily be done on Quectel Modems. The info is out there.
You can certainly upgrade it yourself. There are tutorials on this forum, should be under the Modems / tutorials sub forum.

Re: RV Internet setup needed for work
Are you sure it gets 5Ghz? I might be misreading the information on that link.
How well does this one perform? Does it still work pretty well with only a bar or two of signal? I am willing to pay that much if it is really going to work great. I love that it has the Terminal for AT commands built ...

Or you can use this dude for less than half the price: https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/routers/4g-lte-routers/lt500-cellular-router-with-dual-band-wifi-plug-and-play/
And get 5Ghz wifi, unlike the MOFI4500.
Or get a used Cradlepoint, to keep the price down on their commercial routers.

Re: Cell or data plan (Gl.inet Spitz)
The better question to start with is what cell service works best in your spot(s), and go from there trying to figure out the plans that work best for your situation.

Re: NEXQ6GO-M With EM12G. What kind of plan to choose? Phone plan or hotspot?
The Verizon MVNO and prepaid phone plans need the modem IMEI to match, and it's an ass pain. There is lots of info on using the Verizon pre-paid on here. BillA has helped many with it. Search for his posts on Verizon.

Hey, welcome!
Grab the WG3626-P router with a Quectel EM12G, or Sierra EM7565 modem. Id say the Sierra if you wanted a random decision maker.
