Re: Band 71 Modem Recomendations
Hello,
Welcome! :)
I am in a rural area with only one tower. Fortunately I am within a mile of it, unfortunately it is a T mobile band 71 only tower.
Currently, to get up and running I am using a Franklin T9 connected to an OpenWRT router (Linksys WRT3200ACM) via USB. I get about 3mbs ...

Re: Lt-500 connectivity issues with Visible?
Hello,
For the TTL, you should have gotten an email about updating the firmware. There is a new firmware version for The Wireless Haven that has manual TTL and HL entry.
Not sure about the locking up. Did you try swapping it to MBIM mode then quickly back to QMI? Sometimes it requires resets.

Re: WG3526/EM20-needs a firmware update
The newer firmware versions fix the MBIM ping issue, though you can manually fix it if you want.

Re: Help zte 279 router wifi sims hack...rural area att are nazis special needs child internet is his life.
The network is seeing the imei of the hotspot, and it doesnt match your phone plan imei. So it declines the data connection.

Re: Noob - lt500 with visible
Typically the issue is in the main settings. You have to set it up with the APN manually set to vsblinternet (I know there is an auto visible option, but no no!) Then make sure the APN is set to IPV4V6 type. None for Authentication type. blank for password, etc.
Also set it to No roaming, 4G only ...

Re: 5G Modems Quectel, Sierra, and Telit.
I've got the Sierra 9190 working in rooter, plug n play with no settings changes needed in rooter. In a NEXR5GO and WG1608D-M.
The problem there is getting the modem to be recognize. Takes modifying adapters. The Telit is priced not far from the Quectels, but the Sierra cards are REDICULOUSLY ...

Re: Can PCsForPeople / MobileBeacon Sims be used in other Devices?
Its a true hotspot plan, so no limitations. The ToS say don't move the SIM to another device, but we've been doing it for years.

Honestly it should work, Verizon and Tmobile phones seem to be pretty interchangeable.

Re: Goldenorb configuration
I'm still trying to troubleshoot some odd issues with the Calyx 5G SIM in just about any openWRT based router I have. It works, but odd things don't work most of the time. The IPV6 base of the SIMs account type or something is just not fully 100% working and I'm not big brained enough to see it. yet.

Re: Visible wireless hotspot throttling 'fix'?
Welcome to the forum!
First, you don't need a booster, you can use a narrow band antenna, like a yagi or narrow band flat panel antenna. For going through trees, using a flat panel usually works better. A booster is great if you also need cell phone use, but you seem to be focused on data speed, so ...

Re: Can PCsForPeople / MobileBeacon Sims be used in other Devices?
Mobile Swap Shop has backed off offer the service, as it's getting harder to deal with Sprint as they faze out to tmobile.
The only time you truly need to provision is if you want to use an officially supported device that has Sprint branded firmware. Those devices will not work by simply swapping ...

Re: Execute AT commands based on SIM
Yep. Under Modem->Connection Profiles
Add new profile.
Advanced tab has an option to send AT commands at startup. Has to be setup in one line, so youll have to learn how to sendultiple commands in a single line.
If you want to dig into ash scripting you can go crazy with it.

Re: Connectall Franklin T9 to a different device?
Hey welcome!
I recently put together a system using a Calyx SIM, Basically the same service if I recall correctly.
NEXR5GO router. Has good wifi on it.
MC7411 modem is great, but the Sierra EM7565 would be a really good one to use as an upgrade. The MC7411 is a lower classification of modem, but ...

Re: Has anyone tried the ATT Unlimited Elite plan?
I should have clarified. From what I have seen the ATT post paid voice plans, even with hotspot and unlimited data, have only been successfully used in a hotspot device when the imei of the hotspot has been tampered with.
The Pre-paid seems to also be more long term useful if the imei is tampered ...
