It seems to be a silent proxy server issue they've caused. Basically certain major http ports, like 80, just stop transmitting. A simple reset fixes it. You can also force the modem to change bands to fix it.

Good call to mirror your antennas. I always recommend matched pairs, and always 2 where 2 can be afforded and used. 4 if you get all fancy with a high end modem.

The RM500Q-AE is what you want for 5G imo. Its the NSA version I've recently been told by user BillA. I would wait for the Quectel EM160. Its cat 16 4G with 4x4 MIMO.
If you just want a cheap LTE modem that does the job, then look at teh Quectel EP06, or some SIMCOM equivilents.

I dont use boosters, but I think you are correct. The booster just amplifies along a particular frequency.
A high gain directional antenna should do the same, and with cleaner signal, for cheaper. Especially if for data only.

The latest update says the special antenna pigtails from IPEX will take 6-8 weeks to be made and shipped. Mid to late January is what is being quoted.

Changing to ECM mode sometimes requires you to SSH in and run AT commands manually, especially to change it back to QMI or MBIM. Try that one as a last ditch effort.
I think Verizon likes when the router and modem communicate in MBIM, though it really shouldn't matter.

I can confirm as well. Band 41, 25, and 26 in some areas are straight GONE, or neutered. It may come back, but Tmobile is wreaking havoc on the Sprint networks. You should get on Sprints online chat feature for tech support and ask for the status of your tower.

I always add a dedicated WiFi access point or mesh system that plugs in via ethernet to the router, and turn off the routers wifi radios to give full power to the modem. Its really the best way in my opinion.

It should be fine to use an adapter, but I would get a usb to m.2 direct adapter.
