WE 826-T2 with MediaTek MT7620A

Post by tommr2914 »

I've just upgraded my LTE router to the latest WiFiX 19.07.4 version of GoldenOrb. Upon rebooting to the login screen I get an expected message that "No password set! There is no password set on this router. Please configure a root password to protect the web interface and enable SSH." message with a "Go to Password Configuration" link. Below that is the expected username, password, and login button. At the bottom, there is a message stating "Powered by LuCI openwrt-18.06 branch (git-20.029.49294-41e2258) / GoldenOrb_2020-05-16"

The problem is no matter what I do I can't get past this screen. The login button is not active, typing in a password or leaving it blank makes no difference. Clicking on the go to password configuration link only reloads back to the same page.

Should I use the Firmware Recovery method to flash the new firmware again, maybe a few times? Should I revert back to the original firmware? (I did download and back it up before flashing with the new version.) Or is there something I'm missing, another version I should be installing?

Thanks for any help!

I would revert to the original firmware, via recovery.

Is there another firmware I can try? I need to be able to adjust TTL and the original firmware doesn't allow that.
