Typically wifi antennas are reverse polarity, and are not compatible with the LTE SMA setup. The antenna will screw into LTE SMA connector, but wifi sma-rp antennas are female and LTE SMA bulkhead connectors in the cases are female as well.

I understand why the 65 TTL exists for an Android driven stack but why would Page Plus choose a a 117 TTL?

How can you tell? The only way I can is by looking into the end of the connector, the outsides are identical between RP-SMA and SMA. That is something I've never had get mixed up..... Yet :)

I personally would have a hard time ordering an 4G LTE Antenna for hundreds of dollars hoping it would work without trying to lock down the position of the tower and figuring out if it would be worth it.

What if it ended up that it would not because the tower is just in a poor position? No ...

Look up the command AT+QNWLOCK

I'm about to fall out to ed. I'll try to dig up more info for you. I'm not certain the EC25AF supports this command. Try it by entering it in the AT command terminal with only a ? at the end, like AT+QNWLOCK? or AT+QNWLOCK=?

Usually the only way is to log into your cell account and look. That is IF it gets reported for you to see. There may be a way to set it up to monitor from the device, but I don't know it. Might just be a project for ya! :)

I use a T-mobile plan direct from T-Mobile in an LTE router. I told them I was using it in a tablet. They gave me the Magenta Plus unlimited plan for tablets. Its like $50 a month. SimpleMobile should also work great for like $50 or $60 a month. BillA is our local SimpleMobile expert I think.

B71 is a far reaching band. Lock your modem out of B71. It may see that radio and like it better. Maybe just lock it to B2, B4, B66 and B12.

Yeah, usually it should start shutting itself off at 75c or so. 95 is high.

You can remove the top cover, but youll have to remove the antennas an mount or secure them somehow. I 3D print a bracket for them myself.

Put a big alum heat sink on the mod m too

Ah I see now. Those flat panels are definitely going to have to come down the road, I am going to need about 100' (x2 50') of that LMR400 cable. So that setup is going to end up costing me $250+.

you can likely leave the last part blank or just add a ",0" at the end.

You can try the band mask for Quectel, Sierra, or Telit. The AT command manuals have them. We also have few spreadsheets on them ...

In general the highest dBi gain antenna you can afford is best. I prefer flat panel directional antennas. If you have a direct Line of Sight, Yagi style directional antennas are inexpensive and work well. If you cannot see your cell tower directly from where the antenna will mount, then Flat panel ...

The Quectel modem has the ability to lock to specific radios on each cell tower, the Sierra Wireless modems do not. This may be your way to lock to the cell towwe of choice. I have not played with this command but you may want to try the Quectel ad look up the command AT+QNWLOCK

It is a VERY expensive process to get carrier certified. MOFI did a great job of setting themselves up in this niche. regardless of their lack of customer service. It's almost uncanny how many people come here to get support. I say bring them here all day, more info the better for this forum.

The router will need roughly 60W-70W of available power for itself on poe. 72W POe injectors are what I use, the The Wireless Haven store on facebook has them.

The cat20 modem will FOR SURE work better, it will just be overkill for your router. A cat 6 modem is great, a cat 12, like the Quectel ...

You'll want to use M and D/G, though the em20 is meant for 4 antennas, it should work.

There is no command to see each antennas signal strength. The command does exist (AT+QRSRP I think) but the EM20G does not support it, and Quectel has placed the device in development limbo for now. The Quectel ...

High powered gigabit injectors exist for this purpose. The standards are in place for minimums, it does not stop the device from being supplied more current if its connected devices draw it.

Instead of getting wrapped up in "standards", just try it. Just make sure the voltages match.

After setting those commands you HAVE to hard reboot the modem either with AT+CFUN=1,1 or a full power cycle. Otherwise it may act very odd.

Your ping has so many variables behind it. It might be the device. Your location, your tower, the number of hops from you to the servers. My best on speedtest.net is usually around 18-15ms, but in game its always higher, usually between 60-100ms

The network is declining your connection. It may be the APNs need to be cleared out (AT+CGDCONT=1; AT+CGDCONT=2; AT+CGDCONT=3) Then set the APN manually ( AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4V6","broadband" ) or try IPV4 only (AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4","broadband")

But it looks like an account issue.

The non poe and poe versions are exactly the same, except the ability to also power over poe on that version. It can also be powered via standard wall plug. The Wireless Haven isn't stocking the non poe version right now.

I use an att ipad post paid plan. Works fine. You dont need another device on plan to get it. They just charge like a $50 setup fee if you dont have a phone plan as well.
You usually have to go to a real Corporate ATT store. The franchise owned stores seem to ALWAYS act like it doesnt exist.
