EM7455 set to qmi?
So I have a EM7455 in a usb enclosure and I used Daniel Wood to flash it to generic with no issues. After using it for a while I noticed the latency was high so I followed this to switch it over to QMI. https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=334
It work for a solid week with no problems but today I pulled out the sim card while it was on and when I reinserted it back and restarted everything it wouldn't connect. So I reflashed it with Daniels script which worked and allowed no problem working on MBIM. But now when I send the commands to switch to QMI the router(a WE1326) doesn't detect it. and the only way to get it detected is to flash the script and use it in MBIM. Am I doing something wrong here? It worked on QMI flawlessly for a week up until today when I removed the sim. Thank you all and hopefully there's a solution. I am running the latest firmware of goldenorb from ofmodemsandmen.

Re: EM7455 set to qmi?
I found a solution if anyone ever gets stuck in my position. I ran these commands.
And it defaulted to MBIM,but running the commands for qmi again were successful after the reset.at!entercnd="A710"

Re: EM7455 set to qmi?
Well unfortunately that did not fix it. The reset put it back into a oem state which was for a dell laptop and I was unable to get a connection. Reran Daniel's script. Connected fine on MBIM, tried to switch to QMI and no luck, it isn't connecting. Any ideas anyone?

Re: EM7455 set to qmi?
Can you share what commands you are using to do this? I ran into a similar issue recently cause I was running the wrong commands for the EM7565 and was using the MC7455 syntax. I had a thread about it on this forum too.jose.herrera wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 9:29 am Well unfortunately that did not fix it. Re: EM7455 set to qmi?
I used the command for EM/MC7455 which is at!usbcomp=1,1,10d and had the exact issue you did, but my modem is a EM7455 Not a EM7565.

So you were able to fix it?

Re: EM7455 set to qmi?
The new EM7455 came in, repeated everything exactly as before but was successful and QMI is running beautifully. I wonder if the previous modem was damaged/corrupted in some way? Well it's been sent back. I wonder if this has to do something with the new firmware which is on revision 26,as when I was using the other revision 23 or 24 was the most recent. And in the time I waited for shipping revision 26 was available hmm.

did you upgrade the firmware to the latest version on the one that had issues?jose.herrera wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 9:46 pm The new EM7455 came in, repeated everything exactly as before but was successful and QMI is running beautifully. Re: EM7455 set to qmi?
It is possible that the VID/PID numbers were modified on your EM7455, and doing a reset to OEM status, returned the modem to its original VID/PID.jose.herrera wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 9:46 pm I wonder if the previous modem was damaged/corrupted in some way? jose.herrera wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 6:36 pm Unfortunately not. I ordered another module to see if results are similar.
Were you able to fix it, and how did the new modem work out?
The issue seems to be with Dell branded modems, which are obviously not meant to be used outside of a Dell laptop. While Reran Daniel's flashing script may work, it's still a finicky modem.
Mount the modem into an external enclosure, connect it to a pc, and load the proper EM7455 drivers. You will likely see several different diag ports in device manager, just make sure to select the proper AT modem port. Then send these commands:
AT!ENTERCND="A710"
AT!RMARESET=1
AT!RESET
Wait a couple of minutes reselect the proper AT modem port, then send:
AT!ENTERCND="A710"
AT!USBCOMP=1,1,10d
AT!IMPREF="GENERIC"
AT!RESET
Reconnect it to the router and see if it's QMI mode.
