Re: Modem Disconnecting
Hi Jim, you're totally right. One of the pigtails wasn't attached well to the MC7455, which explains the periodic signal drops.
Argh, spend 2 hours last night trying to diagnose/fix when it was something this simple!
Thanks again!

Re: CA on omnidirectional antennas?
CA worked with two omni antennas without issue. Signal strength is a bit weak (64%), but am able to lock onto B41 and get CA. Speeds now ~45 down, 4 up. Download is obviously way better, but up is much lower than B26. I assume this is due to weaker signal strength. I'm happy with this as I don't ...

This is with 2 Wilson boosters. Is this good?
Your signal strength is good, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you're amplifying the carrier signal. In case of really weak incoming signals, a booster will just amplify ...

Re: I returned the mofi router..
I too almost bought a mofi before reading the reviews about thier customer support on Amazon. So glad I found thewirelesshaven.com! For just a little more $$ I was able to build a WG3526 with Em7565 modem vs mofi's (imo outdated) pre-built router. Plus with thewirelesshaven.com you have an entire ...

Re: EM 7565 with M2M NEXG H721 Router no connection
success!
Received the EM20 today and installed, adding the additional 2 antennas for the 4X4 MIMO. Powered on and the router/modem connected to cell tower and I now have internet. Getting about double the bandwidth as compared to my S9, signal is pretty weak here, but got up to 12Mbs vs around 4 ...

Re: Airmaster 4000D Not pulling in tower signal on verified band 41
I had similar issues with my Airmaster 4000D when using it at my house. Eventually I got it working everywhere except for near my house. Was really odd, but with some setting changes I was finally able to get it going at home and it has been rock solid since. If I didn't change all of these settings ...

Re: Frequent modem disconnects MC7455/WG3526
A brief follow-up. It appears the disconnect issues I was facing with Sprint & the EM7565 were indeed related to inadequate amps reaching the modem inside the M2 enclosure. For context, the Linksys WRT1900ACS has a 3A / 12 v supply but the output of the USB port itself was inadequate. After adding ...

Re: In general what type of SIM do I choose?
Thanks Bill
I think I have what I need. I filled out a Survey here https://thewirelesshaven.com/internet-service/
and they got me all straight. Great service.
Thanks to Jim and Jessica.

Re: WE826-T2 & MC7455 not playing nice
At some point it's time throw in the towel, once too much time and effort has been wasted on a relatively inexpensive device which was clearly not meant for production. Not trying to disappoint, but during all this time trying, could have worked the same amount of hours at a regular job, and ...

I got curious because of this thread and decided to rip my Coolpad Surf open to see if maybe there are hidden external antenna connectors...... Looks like there is!

@shoulin333 yeah I popped mine open as well and was looking at those. Curious to know if the antennas work out for you. I wish there was a way to see what Band you are connected on.

Re: Quectel EP06-A AT commands for carrier aggregation bandlock?
For Linux users, I wrote a little shell script to display LTE band values.
#!/bin/sh
#
printf "%s%20s\n" "Band L-bandmask-1" "L-bandmask-2"
LBAND=1
BBAND=1
while [ $LBAND -le 48 ]
do
printf "%-6s%016X\n" "B$LBAND" "$BBAND"
LBAND=$(( $LBAND + 1 ))
BBAND=$(( $BBAND * 2 ))
done

Re: WiFi Dropping on WE826-T2 w/ Sierra Wireless MC7455
Using a higher current supply definitely helps. Have you tried the 2.5 Amp power adapter with a WE826? The data sheets for the MT7620 wifi chip show it draws 840mA normally and can draw peaks up to 1400mA. The 7455 can draw 1100mA continuous when transmitting and can draw more momentarily. There are ...

And finally, regarding the 7455 modem in MOFI.
BTW, if one wants to see how MOFI interacts with the modem he can simply login to MOFI using SSH, open minicom session and use the MOFI GUI - all AT commands sent to the modem will be printed/echoed on the screen. But having an opened minicom session ...

ROOter/OpenWRT Samba Cross-Platform Setup with a WINS Server
I posted this on the ROOter forum too, but given the single thread nature there, tutorials tend to get lost in the clutter. So, starting with this post -- I'm going to post guides here too for some additional staying power. :-)

WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter
Here's another post I did earlier this year on the ROOter forum, which is now a bit difficult to find. I did this post in late January, and I've since moved from the Raspberry Pi 4B to a Qotom x86 (i3) industrial PC with 4x gigabit Ethernet ports, 2x USB3 and 2x USB2 ports. OpenMPTCProuter needs an ...

These things can be a little funky to get the settings just right, but once working they are really awesome.
