I would like to build a custom WE826-t2 router with Telit LN940A9 / fibocom L860-GL as they are cheaper than sierra wireless and also they are with higher Cat 11/16 range.

Good job, just leave it like that, don't mess around with locking bands, and let the modem's firmware do the scanning. It's programmed so that it constantly searches out the best channels/CA (unless you want to of course).

Re: Deep Pockets?
Yeah that's some "pro" stuff right there, probably the antenna cable alone is more expensive than a WG3526 full setup. lol Also, unlikely to support any custom firmware which is a must have to bypass the hotspot limitation on most carriers.
Nonetheless, a quality rig for sure.

Re: WE826-T2 MC7455 using (hotspot) data
So, about 3 months ago, I had a trip coming up with a lot of down time, so I took the (826), with a NEW HP win 10 lapto p, ran some movies through it, and then checked my Verizon account—and dang, it was using (hotspot data) really!! So I tried both wifi, and hard wired to router, same thing ...

Re: Update on Tmobile's 5G bands
Interesting. The BIG wait is going to be on mmWave antennas, in my opinion. I haven't really searched, but I've not seen aftermarket mmWave antennas.
I ordered a WG1608 from ZBT, with 5G modem and antennas. It's gunna be fun to play with I hope. They dont yet have the modems in stock, so I sit ...

Re: New ZBT 5G-ready router WG1608
Figured some cheesy modem lol... The Fibocom FM150-NA only has the US Sprint 5G band n41 + LTE bands, therefore it's very limited and you're better off going with one of the other models.

Re: Pageplus - Work on an iPad?
Working now.
Even after having the profile installed it wouldn't work. Kept asking me to login to verizon. I flipped on the hotspot mode on the ipad, and data started working. Flipped it off, I still have LTE data. Seems to have worked through a restart. I'm not sure if it was a timing thing, or ...

Re: ibr600 as modem with router running openwrt - allow ttl adjustments?
Yes sir, but we are talking about the A7 (least that is what OP stated), not the C7. If you read the first link I posted you will see that there are differences.
I caution anyone getting a A7 to cloesly read the info @ https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/archer_a7
Or you might end up with a closet ...

Re: Quectel - Programming Carrier Bands and Groups of Bands
Is there a At Command to place the EC25 on auto scan?
On most Quectel modems try this command for auto-scan.
After sending the AT command, make sure you get an "OK" response and restart the router by powering it off and on.
AT+QCFG="nwscanmode",0,1
All other scan modes:
AT+QCFG ...

Re: ibr600 as modem with router running openwrt - allow ttl adjustments?
I currently have the cradlepoint IBR600BLP4 with the att ipad plan for my home internet. I've been researching options to change things if and when I get the boot.
Is it feasible to simply purchase something like the Archer A7 and run openwrt, keeping the cradlepoint as the modem and allowing me ...

Re: Mofi 4500 and existing T-mobile hotspot SIM?
Surprised you looking into it. Thought you just tethered a phone for data to WG3526 router.
My main setup is a WG3526 with a Samsung S9+ tethered via usb which has band 71 and can get up to 350Mbps after midnight with 3xCA when the network is not congested (SimpleMobile running on Tmobile ...

Re: EM06-A : Need Help, modem isn't working after a power outage
I had a power outage this weekend, when the power came back, my EM06-a would not connect to verizon.
A power outage may have corrupted the modem's NVM (Non-Volatile-Memory).
I would reset it and try both QMI and MBIM modes.
QMI mode
Copy and paste each command one at a time, and make sure ...
