For those who are still having difficulty connecting on Visible, from what I've read they work off of IPV6 only, so try this which will also set it to auto-scan and LTE only. You may also have to try both QMI and MBIM modes.

You signal strength at -107db is very poor along with quality at -12db, which directly correlates with your low speeds.
You would want to aim for -70db/-14db or better, maybe try a good flat panel instead of the Yagis, they tend to perform better.

Re: MC400LP6 in ASUS AC68U Router
Just an update - I never was able to get AT commands up and running for the router but was able to get the modem up and running by taking it back to the laptop, running IMPREF, updating to generic and then inputting the APN using AT commands for both IP and IPV4V6 (using at+cgdcont=1,"IP ...

Re: Leaving MOFI off to bigger and better things
You can extend the mobile router's ethernet or usb port, it's a matter of personal preference.
The advantage of the usb port extension is that you can leave the mobile router indoors for easier tweaking, diagnostics, and protection from the heat or cold. It also allows you to use the mobile router ...

Re: Testing with SimpleMobile
I highly recommend these omni-directional antennas https://www.amazon.com/Eightwood-Antenna-Wireless-Outdoor-Cellular/dp/B07KY9MNG3 they are comparable to the Cradlepoint big paddle antennas that I have and a little bit better too imo. I have tested about 5 to 6 types of omni-directional antennas ...

Re: Testing with SimpleMobile
I just wanted to warn people about my experience with the latter ones since you posted a link to them. People might get the impression of you recommending the cheaper choice with similar performance and then get disappointed after receiving them.
Don't worry I edited the original message and ...

Re: Mofi and PagePlus question
1. I know Tmobile has the TTL approach to detecting tethering - does PagePlus or Verizon do similar things?
2. Is the LTE data quality between PagePlus and Visible the same or one is a bit better than the other?
PPC doesn't seem to care about a specific TTL, tested it from 10 to 255 and they ...

Re: Em12 only using one antenna?
MBIM is an older control interface for modems, while it's pretty universal, it's an extra layer for the data to go through, therefore increasing pings times. The newer QMI mode is the preferred method providing a more advanced and direct control over the modem with lower ping times and performance.

Re: ATT- Transparent Proxies - Loss of Internet Randomly - Big Thread Of info
All VPN's degrade the raw data speed to a certain degree due to the encryption/decryption overhead at both the user and server side.
Throughput depends primarily on the hardware (CPU/memory) the the VPN client it's running on. Most consumer grade mobile routers usually run on some "cheesy" MTK CPU's ...

Re: Is there a WiFix specific load balancing tutorial on the site?
You may want to take a look at MWAN load balancing "full blown" guide;-)

Or better yet, true channel bonding/load balancing OpenMPTCProuter.

Re: Antenna + mofi 4500 + Visible = 1.8 Mbps
I was bandlocked on band 13 and I turned it to auto but it grabbed 13 again. After the subsequent reboot I was up to 2.3 mbps.
Verizon and other carriers have lifted the throttle for some time during the pandemic, but they have all reinstated by now. So it's possible that's what you're ...

oh man i hope this doesn't happen for real. I have a bunch of customers on this, and they are gonna be pissssed, if it gets canceled on them.

Tried the AT command to change modes got this error = Can't open device /dev/ttyUSB.
When you say external modem adapter/enclosure you mean one of these?

Yes, that enclosure should work to reflash the modem.
However, you could try this emergency method if you're feeling ...
