Re: Existing Band 71 Routers
100Mbps on band 71 is not possible in the real world, especially with a CAT-4 modem which doesn't do carrier aggregation. The reason why you're getting much higher speeds on a phone, is because they have higher CAT# modem built in. The general formula to estimate the highest theoretical speed is ...

Re: T-Mobile Home Internet has hidden MHF4 connectors for external antennas?
I'm wondering if you can just bypass the whole soldering directly to the interior gateway connectors and just use a cell booster and shoot the signal at the gateway itself. Should result in some improvement.. at least seems like it would.
While cell boosters do in fact boost the signal's dB ...

Re: Help with NEXR5GO and Verizon Ipad Tether/Hotspot
Is your phone that you used an android phone?
Rich, I think he meant that initially he was using an Android phone via usb tethering which worked fine using regular phone data (used over 150GB), but when he tried tethering an iPad with WiFi (since it has no usb tethering option), that's using ...

Mofi 4500 T-Mobile through OTR Mobile
The eth1 interface, which is the cell module, is set to static configuration for the protocol. ipv6 support is not enabled by default. There are multiple options under protocol outside of static. There is dual stack lite, dhcpv6, dhcp client, and a few more ...

Re: WG3526 shows EMM state: Deregistered Attach Needed
Hi All,
I’ve read through every tutorial I can find and I can’t seem to get my connection back. I bought this router off of eBay two weeks ago and it has an MC7455 card installed and WiFiX. I am using a PagePlus SIM with unlimited data. For the first two weeks I had decent speeds but nothing ...

Tethering a phone to a router via USB
Awesome, I'll do some research. Thank you!
The preferred method for tethering a phone to a router is via a USB cable, which is faster than WiFi and also charges the phone at the same time. It's actually quite simple to do it on a router which has a USB port and is flashable with OpenWRT ...

Re: Anyway to pull in this band?
I don't think the Samsung A51 or the A71 pick up low band 5G. I was thinking about doing the same thing, but will probably look to a phone that picks up both the low and mid band. Just something to consider for people who are more rural, like myself.
As I mentioned previously, there are two ...

Re: MC7455 and Visible by Verizon, Grammie help!
Hello BillA, this is very useful to know. In a few months I'll be in the USA for a few months, and I'll need LTE service. Same as you, given all the hacks, I don't want to give carriers my personal information. It is my primary concern and I only want to use carriers that will allow me to stay ...

Re: Visible Wireless Sim work??
I have currently, and successfully, setup a mofi4500-Sim7 v3 at my parents house and at my sisters house. I have no idea what actual modem is inside it though; so no idea if this is helpful or not.
The biggest issue I have had with visible is not activating the stupid sim card / account ...

Re: Upgrade Suggestions
Thanks for the response, I thought same thing about being throttled. Putting the sim in my phone though I get speeds on average at 75mbps. Peaking higher that that alot too. So that's kinda what made me think it was something else. Thanks
If you're getting around 50Mbps on your phone, or to ...

Re: WG1608 is kicking my ass
OK I got my USB adapter to work, and now the router sees my Modem!
I'm still very unfamiliar with this firmware so I hadn't installed any software packages.
There's nothing else to install, under Modems select the proper usb modem, set the APN/TTL and test away.
To make sure that the router ...

Re: MC7455 and Visible by Verizon, Grammie help!
Does the simplemobile carrier you posted earlier have the same latency issues as visible does using Verizon?
SimpleMobile uses Tmobile towers with truly unlimited data for only $50/month. I've been using around 500gigs/months for the past 5 years, and seen others go over 1,000gigs (that's 1 ...

Your router is likely leaking hotspot data through IPv6.
Try replacing the existing TTL rules under Network > Firewall > Custom rules > copy and paste this over the entire existing page:

Re: WG1608 V4 + EM160R-GL not connecting to internet
You may try to block the sides and back of the 4x4 MIMO antenna with some kind of grounded metal shielding. The other cell towers could be causing your issues, called cross-talk. When there are multiple cell towers nearby with the same bands on them overlapping their broadcasting it creates ...
