I have a WE1326v5 router with 256M of memory.
I download the file from the Google Drive location https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... 6nS1Ff6SIa
When I try to update my router with that file (I tried in with the unzipped zip file and the extracted bin file) I get the following error:
The uploaded image file does not contain a supported format. Make sure that you choose the generic image format for your platform.
Currently running The Wireless Haven version of GoldenOrb_2019-4-9
WE1326v5 (256M) firmware update giving error (not supported format)

It must be via .bin file.
Try via firmware recovery, but it should work via UI. May want to redownload the file, then unzip it.

If your using a windows machine, when you select the .bin file, do not double click on the zip and select the .bin file via the firmware update GUI. Instead, double click the zip file and extract it. Then go to the GUI on the router and load the .bin file.

I am using a windows 10 machine, I download the zip file to my desktop and then extract the bin file to my desktop.
I tried again to to upgrade firmware file (bin) via GUI and it is still giving the error:
The uploaded image file does not contain a supported format. Make sure that you choose the generic image format for your platform.
Is there someone that can check that the file is the correct one for this router?
openwrt-WiFiX-WE1326v5-GO2020-05-16-upgrade.bin

Looks right to me. Use the firmware recovery method to load it

I would like to stick with the The Wireless Haven version of the firmware.
I was hoping the person who uploads the files to that location could verify it works on one of their routers since I bought this router from The Wireless Haven.
As for the firmware recovery method, I don't have direct access to it since it is mounted outside in a antenna enclosure and not worth the hassle for a firmware upgrade that may or may not work.
This is also my primary hardware for home Internet and required for work so I can't take it off line or test with it.
Does anyone else have this modem and was successful in updating the firmware with that file?
