Tethering from a phone might be an option. If you use EasyTether, data will be counted as phone data, not hotspot. I have a Raspberry Pi running EasyTether and Wireguard. I'm in the process of writing a blog post describing it.

Band 71 antennas
New here. Got a MoFi SIM7 locked to TMobile band 71. Got the MoFi and monthly service from wcminternet.com. So far so good but I've been playing with antennas. I'm 11 miles from the tower, supposedly LOS but not visible because of trees. Tried the LPDA the guy loaned me, supposedly made for 600MHz ...

My Ultimate LTE router using a Raspberry pi 4B
I set out on an adventure to dump my 3Mb/768k DSL in favor of LTE data. Little did I know the depth and breadth of the rabbit hole I was about to plunge into.
My first big break was finding @swwifty's thread in this forum on building his router. Inspired by his RPi 3 build, I decided to replicate ...

Re: T-Mobile Band 71
Sorry for the confusion. I though I was clear.
They ADDED more of the B71 that they don't own so that extra portion could go away in the future.

Re: UltraGain 26 parabolic antenna assembly
You make the horn LONGER for the lower frequencies.
Pull all the way OUT for 600MHz Band71
Push all the way IN for the higher frequencies.
This thing is like a laser pointer, very hard to get it to lock into the cell tower. But is you can it works very well!

Re: Cabling recommendations for 25' dual runs from modem to LTE antenna
In 100% agreement with @swwifty. Don't skimp on your cable. Just an extra loss of 1 or 2db can make a world of difference if you are on the fringe.
This calculator gives you good idea of different cables: https://www.qsl.net/co8tw/Coax_Calculator.htm

Re: T-Mobile n71 b71 difference to an amp
I dont use boosters, but I think you are correct. The booster just amplifies along a particular frequency.
A high gain directional antenna should do the same, and with cleaner signal, for cheaper. Especially if for data only.

Re: what works?
If you have good T-Mobile coverage they are easier to get going in my opinion.
If you don't care about ping or video throttling visible could be a cheaper choice.

Re: Fastest Modem for Upload?
For example, if my phone here was directly connected to a cell tower configured the same, upload/download speeds between those towers should be identical. If I could amplify my broadcast to even 1% of that tower however, I’d be in the 3mbps UL range, 30mbps DL rather than .07mbps UL, 30mbps DL ...

Hello,
Instead of TTL try to set custom rules.
Tab right next to custom TTL
Also unselect the custom TTL
Paste this in there
#startTTL
iptables -t mangle -I POSTROUTING -o wwan0 -j TTL --ttl-set 65

Re: EM7411 w/ Band 7411 worth it?
FYI
T-Mobile has band 71 4G and
n71 5G they are both using 600MHz
T-Mobile Band n41 is the faster 5G
n71 is 5G low band
n41 is 5G mid band
In a rural setting 600MHz is your friend
Not the fastest but gets the job done
