I am wondering if the modem configuration has somehow changed. After you are certain the APN is correct, you may try resetting the modem to its OEM state (use at your own risk):
AT+QPRTPARA=3
Then, give it a minute or two and hard boot the router.
Once it boots up, promptly go to the debug ...

I started with a Mofi4500 and 50ft of LMR400. Had problems with random disconnects, terrible customer service. Upgraded to a Raspberry Pi3 and EM7565 POE with 10ft cables and it's faster and way more reliable. swwifty did a great write up on it.

Reinstalling the firmware fixed the problem. Unlike the other post my modem wasn't registering with the router at all. Once I reinstalled the firmware it worked fine.

It's been a while sine you wrote this and have presumably been using it.
Can you report back any issues you have had? I am thinking about shoving my mofo or some other LTE to LAN (no wifi) into something like this and back hauling it into the house.

Correct. After 4 hours working with Verizon it turns out the my Sim card went and got itself fubar in the verizon system. Had to get a new sim card and everything is working great on the GoldenOrb firmware

Figured some cheesy modem lol... The Fibocom FM150-NA only has the US Sprint 5G band n41 + LTE bands, therefore it's very limited and you're better off going with one of the other models.

Trees (specifically, the foliage) have been the single biggest factor in my own testing -- I think (as others have said) trying to get your antenna as high as possible is going to be key.
I would recommend plugging in your location and that of the tower you're connecting to into the elevation ...

I'm using a Proxmox kvm. I doubt that I'll come anywhere near needing 3.0 speeds. So it isn't high on the priority list right now. Just odd that it's not defaulting to 3.0 on both.
The kernel versions are pretty different between the two, and I'm sure that plays a role.

I positioned two yagi antennas 90 degrees to each other pointed toward the tower (though absolutely blocked by hills and forest) and connected both to the mofi 4500. Figure out the modem. But all they need is a power up, verify the firmware, maybe an update, and lastly a valid SIM card and they could be up and interwebz providing for whoever.
If you really want to play, you could get a few of the up and learn about load balancing and even WAN bonding ...

I don't think so, not directly. My MC7455 did 2xCA and only got 100Mbps. My EM20G does only 3xCA and can get over 300Mbps. Also my router says the ethernet link went down... which would in fact suggest that it could be the POE injector messing up. I'm not sure if it functions as a bridge/switch or what, but the physical link is, I'm pretty sure, negotiated by the POE device.

If I use a speedtest.net test, I get my full fat 30-40mbps speeds, however any other speed test results in my actual 500-700kbps speeds.
It could be the lack of HD streaming.
speedtest.net does not check for HD streaming just checks speed. Fast.com and some others check HD streaming abilities ...

Thanks for your answer, I'm agreed for sure but still other product used full time internet gateways works correctly.
It can sometimes happen, that there is no more CA too but it's after few hours and not like on EG12 after few minutes.

I feel stupid, I had the mangle rule on the wrong interface, and the Simple Mobile web interface doesn't show hotspot usage only regular phone usage. Texting the automated balance checker shows zero hotspot data used and zero hotspot balance remaining. Which is weird, it seems I hit the 5gig hotspot ...

Did you go into the usb programs in the router config and enable the USB modem? I know the ac68u works with ZTE hotspots and some sierra/quectel modems in USB enclosures, but I've no experience with cradlepoints. They seem a bit pricey for low-cat modems.
