Tmobile,WE8260GO-U,MC7455

Post by BSchaefer »

I am running Tmobile. Tech support recommended buying WE826GO-U and MC7455. He mentioned that with the WIFIX firmware it has a custom firewall to set the TTL values to override the hotspot limitations. Does this mean I should go to Tmobile and get a new sim card with the least amount of hotspot available and cheapest about since it can now be overridden? I work all over the US in some rural areas and hoping this set up fixes the slow internet issue I am having working with my hotspot.

I cannot give you recommendation going directly with T-Mobile since never setup router/modem with their info, but have used SimpleMobile $45 plan (t-mobile network). Works perfectly with WE826 and my EM7455. EM7455 is same as MC except little smaller card.

Changed the APN to "simple" and TTL to 65. Worked perfectly. Have heard some people set their TTL to 64...
