MOFI 4500 On Sprint Network (Sierra MC7455)

Post by JosephGross »

I recently purchased two sprint plans, a Kickstart plan and a tablet plan. I was able to get both sim cards activated after some hassle at a third party sprint store.

I can put either sim card into the Mofi 4500, and it will recognize both cards and tell me the signal strength and band I am connected to. I have verified that the Kickstart line data and hotspot both work on the phone i used to activate service.

Here's where my problems arise.

I can't seem to get any sort of internet on either sim card using the Mofi 4500. I have used both the generic and sprint profiles. I am on the latest firmware version (4.0.8-std) and my kernel version is (3.10.14). I am using the main sprint APN (R.ispsn).

Is Sprint service locked to a specific IMEI? I have spent hours upon hours trying to come up with a workable solution, and any advice or tips would be appreciated.

Try using the APN:

Code: Select all

n.ispsn
On the tablet, it may even be:

Code: Select all

x.ispsn

Jim has the answers.

My account uses r.ispsn, but there is x.ispsn and n.ispsn as Access Point Names

Also, use all lower case letters. Not 100% it matters, but just in case
