Flash Mofi4500 firmware on WE826 with MC7455
Hello everyone. Is it possible to flash the firmware from the MOFI4500-4GXeLTE V2 to WE826 with MC7455 modem?
The latests Mofi firmware can be found here:
http://mofinetwork.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=21
I have both and have opened them.
The motherboard and modem are exactly the same.

Yes, the Mofi4500 is nothing more than the WE826 router.
There are a lot of people running GoldenOrb on the Mofi4500.
I have not heard of anyone running the Mofi firmware on am OEM WE826 router but I assume it would work this way as well.

Re: Flash Mofi4500 firmware on WE826 with MC7455
Could you please help me get the Mofi firmware installed on my OEM WE826?
I flashed the lasted Mofi firmware but after the flash completes, I can't open the web interface. I get the message that the page can't be reached.
I can ping the device at 192.168.1.1.
I also try to SSH to it on port 22 but I get a network error connection refused.
Any suggestions on what I can try?

I believe the first thing I would try is using the boot loader mode and reflash the firmware from there.EnriqueReyes wrote: ↑Sun Sep 16, 2018 2:24 pm Could you please help me get the Mofi firmware installed on my OEM WE826?

I just successfully flashed from the boot loader. After it finishes the same results. I can ping the device at 192.168.1.1.JimHelms wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 9:00 am I believe the first thing I would try is using the boot loader mode and reflash the firmware from there.
But I can't open a web interface. I get the message that the page can't be reached.
Something else I can try?

Have you tried http://192.168.10.1. to log into the router as opposed to 192.168.1.1?

Yes I thought of that since the default IP on the Mofi is 192.168.10.1
But no. After flashing the WE826 defaults to 192.168.1.1

Okay, let me make sure I have this correctly.
You flashed the OEM WE826 with the MoFi firmware?
If so, it will use the login of 192.168.10.1
Have you tried clearing the cache in your web browser.

You can't do this. Mofi has their firmware and routers programmed to only work on the routers internal id numbers they provide.

Any way to get around this internal ID number?RussWestrem wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 6:52 pm You can't do this. Mofi has their firmware and routers programmed to only work on the routers internal id numbers they provide.
I find Mofi's user interface and firmware to have more options than OpenWrt / GoldenOrb

Im sure there is a way around it. I've just never tried personally. You can download their openwrt firmware they use and open it with a certain program and peek around at the files and see if you see anything if you wanted. Mofi uses really old outdated firmware though.EnriqueReyes wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 9:15 pm Any way to get around this internal ID number?

but could not find the OpenWrt firmware they are using?
Maybe on https://openwrt.org/ ?

Re: Flash Mofi4500 firmware on WE826 with MC7455
I know this is an old topic, but I think I know what internal ID they are using. I have three MoFi's, one being a MOFI4500 4GXELTE V1 and two MOFI4500 4GXELTE V2's. The V1 version is about four years old and the V2's are a couple of years apart. I discovered the first three MAC hex numbers (78:A3:51) are the same on all three units. I'm sure this is no coincidence with the age difference between the MoFi's and the versions.

Hello all,
I tried to do this same thing. Load the mofi software to this same setup. Now I am locked out of the web page just like this forum says. Does anyone know how to get out of this now? Just get the back to where I started even and give up on the mofi software.
Any help would be appreciated

Hello again,
Now have cleared my Cache, did a system back up on my computer to time before Mofi software was flashed and also reset the router. The error is unable to define ip address. Have no idea what to do on this? Is my router ruined now? Is my MC7455 modem ruined now?
Don't have any way to access this thing.
thanks
