Hey there! I typically cover emails at Wireless Haven, which email did you use? I tested the contacts and all went through for me in incognito sent tests.
For the device, are you looking for a new device router and modem, or are you using the ATT unit with another home type wifi router for the house, just using it as a modem?

Understood. So you are looking for a new hotspot device or similar that is wifi, router, and modem all in one, correct?
The NEXPRO V2 is a good choice if you want an upgrade and more power: https://store.thewirelesshaven.com/prod ... o-5g-rm520
If you are looking for something that you can get from the ATT stores, the Nighthawks are pretty popular, as well as Inseego stuff. I'm not familiar with all the models of those.

Very little setup per carrier, and full support including one on one support.jpeeze wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 1:42 pm I will go to the store and check it out. Is it hard to setup the device?

Nope, it'll still work.
ATT does restrict access to 5G bands based on that, but there are simple ways around that.

Re: AT&T MF279 wireless router replacement
Just purchased the NEXPRO V2 from the link above. Is there any information I need to be gathering while I'm waiting on the device to help speed up the process?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: AT&T MF279 wireless router replacement
All you need is the IMEI from the device the SIM is intended for, we copy that to the modem in the router, and the rest is pretty much plug and play.jpeeze wrote: Thu Mar 20, 2025 10:25 am Just purchased the NEXPRO V2 from the link above. Network up and working. Don’t know if it had anything to do with it but I added serial number and rebooted.

Just guessing but it was probably the reboot.jpeeze wrote: Tue Mar 25, 2025 6:05 pm Network up and working. Don’t know if it had anything to do with it but I added serial number and rebooted.

Here’s a screenshot of what the run status looks like when I lose connection. I figured I would post for you just in case you see something different.

yeah, likes like the modem is connected thinking all is well, so your data is most likely being blocked on the carrier side.

They may be trying to force me out of my plan I'm grandfather in. Is there anyway around this, will a VPN help this out? I have a dedicated IP through TorGuad but haven't be using it.
Thanks for you all help, much appreciated.

I can’t remember. It’s a plan I’ve been on for about 12 years. It started off at $10 then went up to $20 a month few years ago. It just says unlimited wireless plan. I tried to see if I could upgrade my sims card to 5g and the AT&T rep said that plan was discontinued years ago. I stream movies plan games online and have no buffering problems. It’s even faster since I purchased the Nexpro.
