Turris Omnia

Post by dbshelton »

Anyone know much about a Turris Omnia router? I just scored one on Woot for $150. I would have never paid $395 for one but thought it may be a good router for cheap.

The Turris Omnia is actually a stable unit that we use to carry on the LTEFIX store. We also had a GoldenOrb build for it.

The only downside is the Mini PCI-E slot will only recognize a modem when it is placed in USB2.0 mode.

There is a standard GoldenOrb build available for the Omnia that can be downloaded from here:

Yes, I thought I would flash software. Probably work best for me with a modem in your USB3 external enclosure?

Does anyone know how to flash GoldenOrb software to a Turris Omnia? Everything I have looked up is very confusing to the point that I have no idea what to do.
Curious as to why The Wireless Joint quit selling these. Too much money for the router you get?
