Did my aiming in the middle of the day (1:00-3:00PM Probably not ideal) but ended up in virtually the same position as my old setup.
Really isn't right time of the day for trying this stuff. Tune with Signal and quality signals not with speed test results.

Seems you are doing better. Are you satisfied with this now?

It seems a lot of times the speed test starts on B5 and goes to B5/B66 during the test.
That is completely normal. Carrier aggregation doesn't start until it is needed.
I forms with my setup band 5 want as good as 66 yet little with your setup mine would jump to 5 often. I locked my modem to only use 66. Might want to try that was a test.
I may be confused but I thought it had to be installed on the router itself to shield from the modem to the tower?
Anyway I haven't been able to install on my desktop either.
Wait... So in morning are you consistently higher then 5? If so your likely not being throttled, likely the server is just experiencing higher utilization during the day and at night thus reducing your speed. If this is the case a vpn likely won't help.
Again if every morning you see 20 or so or at least well above 5 I don't think visible throttling is the issue. If you were truly being throttled you would never see above 5 without a reboot and even then sometime after the reboot it would again lock to 5 or less until about reboot.
Yesterday at 5AM I was at 5 Down.
As thinly populated as this area is, it is hard to believe the tower is congested, but that may be the case.
Would they throttle only at certain hours of the day?
My plan for example will throttle at will as their algorithm deems necessary.
I also am on a sparsley populated area, as I keep saying more cows then people and consistently the mornings see downloads between 30-40, while at night it's not at all uncommon to see no faster then 10
Upgraded my Linux Mint from v17 to v20.2 and Cloudflare Warp VPN installed effortlessly. verified installation and checked connection. 31.2Dn 9.61Up. Sure wish it would stay around that.
May do some tree trimming today to open things up a bit.
It doesn't show up in my apps. Finally figured out how to turn off in terminal.
Now using my VPN Unlimited and get better results all around.
Would you happen to know how to turn off or disable the firewall on my NEXR5GO router so I can do some more testing?
