Re: AT&T shutoff of 3G February 2022 may affect you.
On the DATA front my understanding is many cellular devices will keep working if they are LTE even if they are not on AT&T whitelist up until a IMEI sweep finds them In my case, such LTE devices had their speeds throttled to sub 100kbps and I had to call in to get the line "whitelisted" at which ...

Re: AT&T public reachable IPV6
The outgoing connection is CGNAT with some tricks. If you are not internet savvy, the ATT plans aren't the best to try and self host. Yes, you can self host using these ATT plans but they take different traffic routes - which is where the tricks come into play so there's a lot of work that needs to ...

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
Today I found a command to display information about primary and secondary serving cells. I think this gives current information about carrier aggregation. echo -ne "AT+QNETINFO=\"servingcell\"\r\n" | microcom -X -t 1000 /dev/ttyUSB2 Command is described on p. 82 of the manual.

Re: WG1608 + Quectel RM502Q-AE, IPV6 works but no IPV4 address
Correction, it doesn't look like applying the zone of 'lan' made the difference. All that was needed was a firewall restart after the modem connects. I now have a start up script that auto reconnects firewall after 5 minutes from boot.

Re: WG1608 + Quectel RM502Q-AE, IPV6 works but no IPV4 address
The easy way to have something happen after the modem has connected is to add the command to /usr/lib/rooter/connect/postconnect.sh.
In this case add, at the end of the file
/etc/init.d/firewall reload
to restart the firewall after the modem connects.

@Didneywhorl yah it's just /etc/init.d/firewall restart in the startup script area,
@Dairydude thanks, that's a better solution!

Re: NEXP1GO - Signal info never changes
Latest version firmware. 2022-03-23a.
I finally splashed out on a Cudy LT18 and the NEXP1GO is now relegated to being a spare router / modem. It had a handful of problems. None of them showstoppers but a source of frustration.
