I would like some direction in building a outdoor mc7455 setup. I think...
We have a vacation house that is on the frindge pf att signal. I can get it on one side of the house. But not inside.
Id like to mount my mc7455 outside and have smaller antennas as this is a HOA development.
Has anyone built anything like this?

Yes, I have built several different styles with different antenna configurations. It is not a complicated build.brad2388 wrote: Mon Jun 04, 2018 9:42 pm I would like some direction in building a outdoor mc7455 setup. I think...

We should have a new line of products within a couple of weeks for these type of installations.

Hey! The guys over at the ROOter forum have some good examples that they have been helping me with. Also on things like antenna theory, MIMO vs. CA, modem commands (AT commands) for certain situations, and the hardware builds themselves by sharing what they’ve been doing.
I know some of them are here too (actually I think may have seen your username over there also ) but here are some links to some of the things I’ve been using to begin work on a somewhat similar system (to help get to some specific posts):
@bnhf’s closely coupled outdoor build: https://whrl.pl/Re3rRC and more pictures at https://whrl.pl/Re30Hj (be sure to replace “.org” with “.cc” for the postimg.org domains – they did some changes that broke .org, apparently but .cc works fine).
@Wahroonga Farm’s PDF version of it: https://whrl.pl/Re3r1K
@Wahroonga Farm’s setup in PDF form: https://whrl.pl/Re7fiI
Antenna physics: https://whrl.pl/Re7kAZ, https://whrl.pl/Re7lPP, https://whrl.pl/Re7mVo, finally https://whrl.pl/RfaDAQ (and following posts).
Modem commands (Switching from QMI mode (default for the MC74XX/EM74XX series to MBIM) (could also use the modem in PPP, but depending on the version of LEDE/OpenWRT that your ROOter image is based on, you may have to force the modem into MBIM over QMI for the combination of, say the MC7455 and a ROOter image based on LEDE 17.0.4): https://whrl.pl/Re8tC6, https://whrl.pl/Re8v9R, https://whrl.pl/Re8wet ) (PPP mode has the potential to be slower than MBIM or QMI if enough bandwidth is available to exceed it)
At commands basics (and signal hunting): https://whrl.pl/RfaLN0 (and following posts)

You might also look at the PoE Antenna Build topic.brad2388 wrote: Mon Jun 04, 2018 9:42 pm I would like some direction in building a outdoor mc7455 setup. I think... Has anyone built anything like this?
We also stock just the Enclosure (with no antenna component) on the store as well as a better selection that should be here this coming week.
