Re: wg1608 + Foxconn T99W175
It may support it hardware wise, but the firmware has to have it enabled. The Foxconn modems I know nothing about personally, but I have seen people messing with them in so many ways including enabling carrier aggregation combos and enabling and disabling 4x4 MIMO, etc.
We need a Foxconn firmware pro to chime in.

That module has a qualcomm x55 chip, it supports usb, I dont have one to look at to help you enable it.
Re: wg1608 + Foxconn T99W175
Hi Rich, any tips/pointers on how one might go about enabling USB mode on one of these suckers? there seems to be a plethora of the HP variants available on AliEx ~$75US, so if they could be made to work with USB (2 or 3,) might make for an economic hi-speed solution for use with Rooter... Thanx, Paul.
Re: wg1608 + Foxconn T99W175
I just ordered one of these modems (aka X55, aka L83053-005, aka T99W175.16) for my laptop, so I was researching whether it would be supported in Rooter for testing purposes. I hope to receive it this weekend.
I know with Quecte1 RM5x, the AT command to change between USB and PCI is AT+QCFG="data_interface",#,#.
<network> Integer type.
0 Set the network port communication via USB interface.
1 Set the network port communication via PCIe interface.
<diag> Integer type.
0 Set the diagnostic port communication via USB interface.
I will report back on my findings with compatibility.
