I've searched the forums and haven't been able to find anything that would address this specific issue. I have a WG3526 with E-12G on a Verizon unlimited card. I have no issues utilizing only 'unlimited data' with all my devices (phones, TV, laptops, etc.) and utilize 0mb of Hotspot data.
However, when I connect "The Ring" or my Wink Laboratories devices to the same WiFi it registers as Hotspot Data usage. I don't understand how that can happen or what the solution may be. Anybody ever run across this and if so, how did you resolve it?

Re: Devices using only Hotspot Data vs. Unlimited Data
Somehow using ipv6 data? causing hotspot leak?
Can you access those devices, like the ring, from outside the network. IE via web app or phone app?
Its connecting to a VPN type service to stream the data, video etc, to their servers. likely something that is picked up as ipv6 or something crazy like that.
Not sure though
