WG3526 Not connecting.

Followed trouble shooting available here:

1) Sim card appears fine. No smudges.
2) Sim card Seats securely.
3) Pig tails- Initially felt one pop back on when checking. Since then Been more careful and they have been seated/connected fully. Checked repeatedly as I see they are easy to come off with no tabs like in a guide on the forum.
4) Using Sierra_Wireless_MC7455 onboard.
5) Checked, (thank you google images) appear to be correct.
6) If sim is put back in franklin r910 I connect and pull around 13Mb. I currently have 2 devices and both work in their Franklins.
7) Verified the APN when using the Franklin via the franklin admin website
8) No idea how to determine firmware for this.

APN is entere in Modem - Connection information- r.ispsn. Changes saved, router rebooted, verified.

I am still not connecting. We ended up powering a board incorrectly and gotten replacement (thanks again!). Lost in the sauce atm. I backed up the config and then tried resetting. I have also tried to redo the firmware. Nothing has seemed to work so far. Any advice would be appreciated.

I assume your PCB is mounted internally in the Antenna enclosure?

This may seem like a dumb question, but is your antenna pointed towards the cell tower, or are you using the SMA screw on LTE antennas?

It does not appear you are receiving a cell signal.

I am installing in the Antenna enclosure. I have not pointed it in any direction. I thought it would be able to get enough of a signal since the Franklin devices where able to. I lack knowledge on Antennas.

Nope, two totally separate type of antenna technologies. As I mentioned on the antenna tutorial:

Note that aiming these type of directional antennas are akin to aiming a satellite dish. A small twist here can make a big difference there--which increases exponentially with distance. Without proper antenna alignment, there is no firmware that will keep the modem connected and/or from rebooting.

I seem to be able to get a signal currently. I did use some sites to find some towers and point towards them. I am still however not able to connect. Would I need to try and go through the listed at commands again with a connection?

Notice you are only receiving the Primary Cell (PCC) and no Secondary (SCC). This hints to one of the UFL connectors coming off the modem port.

While I am not suggesting it is always proper, once the U.FL connectors are installed correctly on the Modem port, I personally use a hot glue gun and glue the UFL connector to the white plastic nut--which secures it in place when the antenna enclosure is assembled.

I used some hot glue but it didn't make a difference. Got on the roof and aimed it around at the 3 different towers I am aware of. Then I went around just to make sure. Never picked up a SCC.

Think I should buy the 700-2700MHz 4dBi LTE Hotspot Antenna Kit and use it to verify the modem? I have the small connectors for it and could peel the hot glue off. Not sure what to trouble shoot first in this world.

I would troubleshoot the issues. First, you need to locate the closest Sprint tower. Be sure it is Sprint's. Might even take a reading on your hotspot at your current location, and then drive to the cell tower to check the hotspot signal again. Use the signal readings, and not the number of bars. If you show no improvement, chances are it is not a sprint tower.

Assuming it is a Sprint tower, calculate the towers heading (degrees) from your location using google earth. Then, using a compass (or good app), aim the antenna as close to the tower's location as possible. You can use your cell phone to login to the router and watch the signal stats. Also, make sure the antenna is straight up and down (vertically), or slightly pointed up a few degrees (assuming you are on flat ground, and the tower is higher than your location).

Once these steps are done, watch your stats in the router and very slightly get the best primary cell (if no secondary cell is showing up). At that point, we can run a few AT commands and better troubleshoot the issue.

On more question, do you have line of sight (LOS) with the tower (i.e., no obstructions, woods, hills....)? And, how far away is the tower?

All antennas seem fine to me. Diversity and main both show signal. You're deregistered indicating to me that you didn't enter the apn in rooter under the modem connection info area.
