I want to upgrade from my mofi 4500 to a new sierra 7511 modem setup.
I understand the gold standard is the WG3526. However, I already have an ASUS RT68U/AC1900P router capable of handling the home wifi. I just need to pass the wan signal to the Asus router.
What I want:
Gigabit lan so I'm not limited to 100Mb/s
Ability to use the sierra 7511 modem
I'm not absolutely opposed to the WG3526, I just already have a higher end router, and also the WG3526 is currently out of stock at thewirelesshaven.com
Quick separate question:
My tower supports bands: 2, 4, 12, 14, 30, and 66. Would I benefit at all from trying to do MIMO? I know some bands wouldn't benefit, but I'm not certain which bands MIMO actually starts at?
Really appreciate any help you can give.
Cheers.

Re: 4G Modem/Router Setup
Your router is great, but theres no support for an lte modem.
Your best bet is a WG3526, or modify a we1326 to have external antennas. That or go to ofmodemsandmen.com and look under supported routers and find on of those routers to flash. Get a usb to m.2 adapter enclosure to put your modem into and run it like a usb modem to a router that youve found with compatable firmware. Theres tons of options.
My opinion, mimo every time. Em7511 has 2 antenna ports, use both and use matched antennas. NO BOOSTERS

Re: 4G Modem/Router Setup
I have the same router and it actually is capable of working natively with an M.2 modem in a USB enclosure. You don't get the fancy signal monitoring capabilities of the wifix goldenorb firmware, but it does function. You can check your signal and carrier aggregation stuff with AT commands via SSH.
