Hey all!
Per some feedback, I got on an earlier post I went ahead and ordered the cradlepoint-cba850lp6:
https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/routers/cradlep ... efurbished
And the em7565-cat-12 with the Mini PCI-E To M.2 Key B Adapter to swap into the cradlepoint MC400 modem
https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/modems/sierra-w ... m-2-modem/
https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/pcie-m-2/mini-p ... card-slot/
At this point, I was able to get the cba850 to work with the default modem using T-mobiles APN (a little slow but haven't tweaked anything beyond the initial cba850 start guide on the site).
I am now trying to swap out the default MC7455 with the EM7567 using the adaptor but can't figure out the right way to connect the main, GPS and AUX cables from the MC400 to the EM7567.
The connector don't seem to click into place like they do on the MC7455, I'll add pictures below but basically the ridges don't elevate enough for it to click into place.
Can anyone recommend or point me in the right direction on the best way to resolve/get the EM7567 working with the CBA850? Is it possible with the MC400?

Adding pictures for content, notice how the connector is elevated on the 7455 and much more flat on the 7565

Most install the EM7565/EM7511 in a USB3 to M.2 adapter ENCLOSURE and plug it into the USB3.0 port on the CBA850 router.
The advantage of using the enclosure is it allows you to run dual modems (i.e., the MC400LP6 & the EM75XX) for load balancing or failover if ever needed.
The MC7455 uses U.FL connectors. The EM75XX uses MHF4 connectors.
You can therefore, use two of THESE pigtail cable adapters to connect the two.
Great project by the way!

Thanks for the information and links!
Going to order three of the pigtails for each connector (gps, main and aux) so that I can use them with the cba850.
Out of curiosity if I got the enclosure you linked above would it connect to the CBA850 or would I need to install additional software to run the OS?

I'm very curious as to how this works out. I have a CBA850LP6 now that I am using and was interested in an upgraded modem -- CP wants $600 for theirs (which is a Cat18 I believe). Maybe more importantly, theirs also requires the newer than 7.50(?) recommended, "subscription required" firmware to work. Please update if this works with the older firmware and what you experience is. This would be a much cheaper way to upgrade!
