AirMaster 4000D Help

Post by DF »

I've been using the AirMaster with a sprint magic box with great success. I recently upgraded to the new magic box silver and while my phones connect to it the AirMaster will not connect even though it's a much stronger signal then from the tower.

Any ideas what the issue could be and what I can do to get this working again? I dropped from 40-50Mbps to 0-4Mbps.

Thanks for any help that can be offered!

What happens to your connection on the AirMaster if you unplug the magic box?

No change, the airmaster is only connecting to the nearest tower with or without the magic box powered on. I've power cycled both several times with no luck.
I would prefer to get it working with the magic box, I can get decent speeds with the airmaster mounted outside on the barn roof but its much faster when connected through the magic box.

Hmm... You might try removing the SIM Card and then:

Log into the AirMaster and reset the unit to its default settings.

Install the SIM Card again, and power it up with the Magic running.

See that that will do the trick.

Got it. I tried what you suggested and also put the sim into the old hotspot and ran a prl update. Fired up the AirMaster and instantly connected to the magic box. Router reset and I'm back online. Thanks for the help!
