Have you downloaded the and installed the Sierra Wireless Software drivers for windows.
That allows the PC to communicate with the modem and COM ports.

The problem is that allowing Skylight and/or Windows to control the modem, can place the modem in an undesirable composition. We have seen this on numerous occasions.
I would first uninstall Skylight, and all the Sierra Wireless software and components, and reboot the PC.
With the SIM Card removed, I would reinstall the Sierra Wireless software drivers for Windows and then see if the Huawei terminal will then see the Modem WAN COM port.

It sounds like, for whatever reason, you have lost your WAN Modem COM Port.
You may have to use a Linux machine to access the modem and restore it to OEM status.

Unfortunately, there is not a tutorial, but the issue has been addressed several times on the forum. I would try using the search function.
