Since Windows has a default APN I guess I will have to created one for ATT right?

If your using it on a Windows machine, you may also want to try Skylight Manager to configure the APN.
There was a time we were building PC's with MC7455 to act as media centers and the Skylight Manager worked well for controlling the MC7455 modem.
