I just replied to this on a different topic.

Download and install GOLDENORB on the WRT32X and use the USB3.0 to M.2 adapter enclosure with the EM7565 to connect to the WRT32X.

This makes a great setup.

I am not sure about the tethering requirements of a Mifi or whether GoldenOrb has the drivers for it. That may be something best researched on the ROOTer (GolodenOrb) forum.

You might start HERE and move on to HERE.

The above post has been corrected to refer to the WRT32X as opposed to the WRT3200

I've been looking at doing either the setup you described above, since I already have a Linksys WRT32X, or using an EM7565 with a WG3526. How would the above setup compare to the WG3526 with EM7565? Pros/Cons of one over the other? I have an ATT tower 1.2 miles away through trees, and a Tmobile tower (with great speeds on B66 on my iphone) only 1.0 miles away through a few trees. Not ready to put in external antenna's yet, just want to get a reliable cell signal first with omni-directional antenna's. Will initially have both an ATT SIM card and a Tmobile SIM card for testing my setup.

There is a 2019-11-25 build for WRT32X available HERE.

I personally like the WRT series of routers. Some have mentioned that the WiFi is less than desired but I have never had an issue with them.

The WG3526 is a good build since the router and modem is within one unit, but the WiFi seems less than optimal. There are also people using the WG3526 as the gateway/modem, and coupling it to a good WiFi router.

I would also consider the EM7511 (as opposed to the EM7565) for AT&T since it has the new FirstNet Band 14.

Hello everyone! I received my equipment yesterday! Was excited to get it up and running, so set it up as described above, except with the EM7511. Can't get connected using a tmobile sim card. I posted last night asking for help to work out the disconnect here: https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=907. Hoping to keep track of what I do to create a tutorial for this equipment grouping...if I can just get it to work! ;)

Update Feb 26: Everything works, but did have to add more power for the modem to connect! I'll put together a step-by-step of how I built everything, so anyone else who wants to use their Linksys WRT32X can set it up. Summary steps are listed at the link I posted (previous paragraph).
