How to flash the WE826-T2 stuck under "firmware OpenWRT-OS-V1.0” with a real OpenWRT freeware ?

Post by Nico_LTE »

Hello,

Thank you for that amazing forum, where I already found several solutions for LTE 4G configurations.

After bought a WE826-T2 under the “Open WRT label” I receive the good router, but with the “software OpenWRT-OS-V1.0” which is a problem.

On the page web interface 192.168.1.1, the password “admin” is requested without login option. Unless if I mistaken on a classical OpenWRT interface we precise
login : root
password : admin

But the “software OpenWRT-OS-V1.0” refused after download to upgrade the WE826-T2 with :
openwrt-18.06.2-ramips-mt7620-zbt-we826-16M-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
or
openwrt-18.06.2-ramips-mt7620-zbt-we826-32M-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

Below the link to the process that I followed :
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1N9AXDa ... tuZOh/view

Questions :
Is it necessary to flash with an USB interface to M.2 adapter, and if yes how can I do that ?
Is it possible to flash / debug with an USB wire between the "WE826-T2 USB" and the "USB computer". If yes, what is the freeware on linux ?
Maybe I can find other pages 192.168.1.1 for the root access ?
What is the good password, because "admin" isn't unlocked the super-root account on the "firmware OpenWRT-OS-V1.0” ?
What is the good .bin file for unlock the router ?
Is it an another way if the soft seems stucked ?

Thank you for your time.

Friendly

This is some of the issues with the WE826-T2 that are purchased with the newer firmware. We special order ours with a different firmware.

You will need to upload GoldenOrb using the BOOT LOAD METHOD

Hey,

Finally with your help the glitch is partially fixed for the WE826-T2.

This process looks good :

The router .bin file for the system "the rooter project" dedicated to the ZBT-WE826(16M):
https://www.ofmodemsandmen.com/download ... -03-10.zip

The new system works, but for the moment the Sierra EM7455 card isn't recognized as schedule by Experts from an other forum.

#######################################################################
Method to upload the good .bin file in the WE-826 on Linux Ubuntu with a RJ45 wire
=============================================================================
FIRST STEP
Ethernet RJ45 specifications ipv4 in "edit connections"
IPV6 -> ignore

IPV4 :
IP: 192.168.1.5
Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.1

Connection mode : Manual
=============================================================================
SECOND STEP :
- Log the 192.68.1.1 router "welcome page"
- switch off the router or unpluged it
- Switch on the power and keep push the reset button at the bottom
- Check when the wifi and LAN leds are ligthtening, stop to push the reset button and refresh the 192.68.1.1 page
- Now normally you have a simple web interface to upload the new .bin file without restrictions
- wait the automatic reboot
