h721 router RM510Q module AND Quectel EM12

Hello,

I am new to the H721 router and got one of the new modules. When I tried to use my t-mobile sim in the slot of the EM12 it worked. However, when I switched it to the RM510Q I can't seem to connect to the network. The module recognizes the name of the sim and number and its unique code but no internet access. May I ask if anyone has used o have experience with this? Also, I've tried to register my device with sprint but they don't allow my IMEI number. Does anyone know how I may get this activated?

What APN are you using? I think the default APN is "internet" which does not work. Try going to modem, connection properties if I recall correctly and set the APN to fast.t-mobile.com. Also make sure you set the TTL correctly and the TTL for IPV6. There are write ups on this forum on the TTL settings.

Also, is the RM510Q in QMI or MBIM mode.

You may want to ensure the bands are not all locked out, and the modem is in MBIM mode. I also like to check to ensure its not set to only 5GNR in mode pref.

Hello everyone.

Thank you so much for all of your answer. I did a soft reset from the firmware and it for some reason worked out of the box. I'll try to use your setting to see if there's an increasing in speed.
