How to tell if the SIM is connected

Post by BMSman »

I've just received my WG3529-P and installed the EM160. I installed the SIM in the router slot NOT the M.2 adapter slot. How can I tell if the SIM is even getting read? The router is reading the modem but says Connecting. The status also doesn't show and reception or Provider.

Any thoughts to first make sure the SIM is getting read?

Modem-->Network Status page

If the SIM number is filled in under modem imei then the router is seeing the SIM card.

If the SIM Phone number is filled in then the network is seeing your SIM card and assigned the phone number.

If the above two are filled in and it wont connect, you have a settings error as it applies to your device and account type.

What carrier and plan are you using?

Yes it was in MBIM Mode. I was able to get it online finally by adding the APN (VSBLINTERNET) to both settings, the connection profile and to the modem interface. Not sure if i was supposed to do that from the beginning but that worked.

Also the TTL for Visible was 64 not 65, so I'm up and running for now!
