I've been reading posts for over a year, and thought I found a solution. I purchased a pre-made router/modem off of eBay (link provided in one of these forums). Initially, it worked pretty good. But now it constantly drops. After trouble shooting and trouble shooting, it is clearly something funky with the device itself. So, despite spending a lot of money already, I'd like to start all over, but my head is spinning with the options!
This is what I need. ANY direct links to purchase from this site would be welcomed, as well as a little virtual hand holding with set up
- I need a router (and modem?) that uses visible. I already have an activated Sim card and monthly plan.
- Is is possible to buy a device that allows for remote updating and access when the network goes down?
- Are there devices that have the firmware and such already downloaded? like plug and go?
I think that's all. Please help!

What kind of set up you have now with visible? What router? What modem? How often does it go out?
For visible I like we826 and quectel em12. With secondary router plugged into it. We826 WiFi disabled.

The We826 is a nice low cost unit. But that is the unit Mr-WorkingOnIt is having problems with.
Would go with the WG3526-P 4G LTE WiFi PoE Router Dual Band (2.4GHz-5GHz) WiFi (ROWG3526-P)

Modem Sierra Wireless MC7411, CAT-7 LTE-Advanced Modem

I think the LTE Store can build the system for you so it's plug and play
Router $160 + Modem $170 = $330

The NEXR5GO is soon to release too, much improved over the routers like the WE826.

You say its definitly your current hardware.... but it is the router or the modem? You could likely re-use whichever is not causing the issue. Also constant dropping could well me a carrier issue as I have seen that time and time again in these forums.
That said for the router box you cant beat the wg3526, its what I use and I have had no issues with it at all and its a well supported and very popular unit so many people have expierence with it should you need assistance.

Adm1jtg, has a point it could be a SIM issue.
But it could also be hardware sense you got this off eBay you many have gotten someone else headache .
It’s hard to say. Would start out slow and replace the cheapest parts first.
FYI
Both ATT & T-Mobile both have SIM/data plans for 100Gig for $50.

How often is visible dropping service?
Have you tried to reflash firmware using Firmware Recovery method? Sometimes that can make issues go away.
Basically just resetting things.
