Rural internet setup

Post by Felixwifi »

Hi, I need help with a rural internet setup. What I know so far is that I have a tmobile 5g in my area but I live 10 miles from the cell towers. what modem should I use that's fast but doesn't put a hole in my wallet, and also what external antennas should I use because I live ten miles away from my cell towers. I will be using this setup for a family of online school, virtual work, always streaming shows and movies, online gaming, surfing the web, streaming music, and social media. If you guys could help me then thank you very much. If you need any more info about cell towers near me then feel free to ask.

What type of Cell phone are you using and what Carrier?

Have you tried T-Mobile home Internet?

Are you on the waiting list for starlink?

Did you ever move forward with any of the above recommendations or do you still want to try acellular solution? I am also rural and have gone through the many challenges of setting up internet through cellular. I am verizon but the overall setup, equipment and process is mostly the same
