Mofi 4500 Fast Speed, Slow Internet
Hi,
I have a MOFI4500 SIM4 V3 with default settings running on Tmobile. I am using an external panel mimo.
I get decent speeds on speed tests, however, it takes a minute or longer for the speed test to connect to a test server. Watching a video is impossible and just basic browsing is painfully slow if there are any images on the page.
Currently upload speed is awful, but even when it is over 20Mbs, the same issue persists.
Can anyone provide any insight on what the problem is and how to correct it?

I am using an Alienware Area 51 Laptop with 64gb ddr4 and I7 processor. I primarily use chrome but have same issue in Firefox. I use both wifi and hardwire with same results.
I also have a Unite Explore and it works flawlessly (with ATT). I have ordered a sim adapter and will test the ATT sim in the MOFI tomorrow afternoon to see if it is simply a T-mobile problem.

Hummm looking like T-Mobile issue
Keep the group updated with your testing.
I doubt this is the issue but is there a reason that Carrier aggregation in not being used??

The only advice I can give is to try a different speed test site, such as testmy.net. Maybe speedtest is giving incorrect readings, for some reason?
Re: Mofi 4500 Fast Speed, Slow Internet
Hi yirkdr, I used several sites. The readings are all good at several speed test sites but actual internet usage is impossible.
gscheb, 480p would be great at this point! even low res images take a long time to load, videos never start playing.
Testing ATT today. If it doesn't work, I will know it is the MOFI...

Here are two simple speed tests which run in any desktop or mobile browser without the need to download anything.
The first is for regular data, and the second for video (if you get 2Mbps or less on fast.com, then the carrier is throttling your video speed).
