MC7455 IMEI rejected by ATT and Verizon?
Feeling a bit foolish about now -- I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong.
The IMEI number printed on the 7455 and the invoice is identical. When I type that number into the ATT or Verizon IMEI number check, it comes back as being incompatible with their system.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Are you attempting to get the MC7455 provisioned thru the carrier?
Most users of the MC7455 run the Generic firmware (which comes on the modem) and a SIM card from any active plan. No provisioning or carrier intervention is necessary.

I was thinking that ATT would have to activate the SIM -- am I mistaken that the activation process involves the IMEI number? I've flashed the WE-826T with the WiFiX custom GoldenOrb firmware and I was going to input the "broadband" and other strings. At that point, I wanted to see make sure I would not have a problem -- so I did the IMEI check.
Should I pick up a ATT unused SIM and proceed with the process? Sorry for my ignorant questions.....

There are various methods. Some activate another old phone on their plan, then use the SIM from the phone and use it for the router.
Watch for a PM from me.

Ericm,
You can ask your AT&T account manager to use this IMEI: 355986085409648 with AT&T with APN name "broadband" works %100
Now I am having same problem with Verizon, any advice?

Works for Verizon too, but they will block the Talk on it, so you get Text & Internet.

If your trying to use verizon’s M2M service (with or without static IP) then the EM7455 and MC7455 has not passed the Verizon Labs for E911 testing. I’m running in to this issue right now myself.

To use the Verizon Prepaid Unlimited Hotspot (bring your own device) plan with a Cradlepoint or other LTE router, people are purchasing a used Pantech UML290VW-G from eBay (cheap), and using the IMEI from it to activate the plan.
Once they receive an activated SIM Card from Verizon, it is used in the cellular router.
