Improve RSRQ

Post by chrissezhi »

Good afternoon -

Wondering if there is a way to improve cell quality either with current setup or antenna. I have a pair of antennas purchased off of The Wireless Haven. Connected to CBA850.

Current Provider is T-Mobile. With the CBA850 is it possible to upgrade to CAT18 to take advantage of Band71?

Interested if current antennas can be tweaked - for example are they in right orientation/spacing, should I buy a parabolic antenna?

Below is the current results:

This may sound stupid but have you tried using another band/frequemcy. On my setup band 4/66 would net me an average of -14 to -16. I changed in my case to band 2 and now i get -8 to a high of -13

but be aware better signal doesnt always equate to better upload/download speeds

Again using my case for example band 4/66 is 20mhz wide in my area and band 2 is only 10mhz. You will just need to test and see

Definitely try different bands and towers, you have several in the area to try out.
