Cradlepoint CBA850 with MC400LP6
first thanks to all that contribute to this great forum, i learned a lot this week searching and reading. now i need some help as i'm new to lte internet.
i first tried a WE826-T2 then a mofi 4500 and had decent results on At&t. both used band 2 for the fastest speed, here i have b2 12 and 30. b2 and 12 have the best speeds, b30 has the strongest signal but slow speeds.
i have the cba850 set up after following the guide posted here but it locks to band 30 so slower speeds that the mofi and WE826 because i could get them to either lock or default to b2.
i've read to post here on band locking and the Sierra Wireless MC7455 | EM7455 -- AT! Command Guide . i am not very good with a computer and only have a chromebook and cannot get excel to work. i'm wondering if anyone has the commands to set the cba850 to at&t bands 2 and 12 that they would share with me? i also need the band command at startup from connection manager to retain the locked band settings.
attached are some info from my setup

Re: Cradlepoint CBA850 with MC400LP6
I don't think you actually set the bands you wanted but instead just added to the list.
Does
Code: Select all
AT!BAND=?
Does
Code: Select all
AT!BAND?
If not, you type
Code: Select all
AT!BAND=0F
Code: Select all
AT!BAND?
Code: Select all
AT!RESET
Re: Cradlepoint CBA850 with MC400LP6
thanks, after following your instructions it now it works.Yipzy wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 8:20 am I don't think you actually set the bands you wanted but instead just added to the list.
Doeslist "0F" you added?Code: Select all
AT!BAND=?
Doesrespond with "0F" you selected?Code: Select all
AT!BAND?
If not, you typeto set and then verify it is set to 0FCode: Select all
AT!BAND=0F
before resettingCode: Select all
AT!BAND?
Code: Select all
AT!RESET
if the modem reboots will i lose this setting since i can't find when to enter the AT config script?
also what would be the command to lock to b2 and CA on b30, please?

Re: Cradlepoint CBA850 with MC400LP6
Your modem shouldn't change the setting after reboots.
To lock B2+B30 add the CA to the list first
Code: Select all
AT!BAND=1F,"B2+B30",0,20000002
Code: Select all
AT!BAND=1F
Re: Cradlepoint CBA850 with MC400LP6
first thank you for all your help.
i thought you have to enter the command in the AT config script? that's what i can't find.
i have the modem set up to reboot daily @ 3am and this morning it was back to b30, ca 12 because i can't find the WAN interface profile to set the bands.
also
AT!BAND=1F,"B2+B30",0,20000002 returns error

Re: Cradlepoint CBA850 with MC400LP6
You usually don't need to set a startup AT command but it appears your cradlepoint is overriding your band setting? The WAN interface should be in Connection Manager. You click on the LTE modem name then click edit button IIRC. It should be there though.motrac wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 7:38 am first thank you for all your help.

Did you issue
Code: Select all
AT!ENTERCND="A710"
Re: Cradlepoint CBA850 with MC400LP6
thanks, found it, there's a box checked that says "enable band 30"Yipzy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 9:43 am You usually don't need to set a startup AT command but it appears your cradlepoint is overriding your band setting? Did you issuebefore adding the B2+B30 to the list? If so, maybe you need to change 1F to 0D instead.Code: Select all
AT!ENTERCND="A710"
