Spitz AT Commands not setting 2x CA for EP06A
Hey all,
So my EP06 isn't registering my at commond to set it to bands 2+4.
It will set to 2 by itself and 4 by itself just fine. I get anywhere from 25-35mbps with 2 and 15-25 with 4 So I'd love to combine them.

Also the AT command to change the IMEI on my EP06 doesn't work.
[Admin Edit: This command is not for public discussion. Please refrain from posting it. Its use is not legal in the US, and we will not use or discuss anything intentionally illegal on this site.]
Thanks

Please note that changing IMEIs is a federal offense and you put this whole forum at risk when you post this information as this forum is then invovled.
The specific section is 18 U.S. Code § 1029: https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1029
You are free to do as you wish with your hardware and the effects of that is on you.
CA is not in your control and as you probably know, you might have to configure the modem in unique ways to get the tower to support CA on your connection even if the tower supports CA.
How do you know that the tower supports CA on 2 and 4 ?

I honestly don’t know if my tower supports CA with 2+4. I just knew that it supported 2 and 4 individual, so I assumed it would support both at the same time. Maybe not. I can get it to do carriers 4+12. I’m also not sure as how to find out the information on the tower. Any recommendations? I’ve used apps on my phone that give me little to know information and honestly I don’t know if they even work.

EDIT: took code out PER rules of the forum. I posted an imei change ap command when I meant to actually post a 2+4 CA ap command which was AT+QCFG="band",0,a,1. Had the wrong thing in my clipboard and posted too fast

You are missing a comma after 7 and edit out the AT command afterward from the post. Someone should also delete that thread if you have the rights to do it.

Re: Spitz AT Commands not setting 2x CA for EP06A
The reason your modem doesn't do 2+4 is because it's not supported on that modem.juicedupchaos wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2020 4:04 pm Hey sorry I actually posted the wrong code!

Note for the government watching- this was for a school project approved by my school so yell at them. Just swapping imei’s for a school project but that wasn’t even the point. Both devices are being used for testing and destroyed after destroying results.

Re: Spitz AT Commands not setting 2x CA for EP06A
Wow that sucks. I saw 2x CA and didn’t even think to wonder if it would only be able to do specific bands. I assumed it would be able to CA any bands it could lock too. That’s what I get for assuming!Yipzy wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2020 4:07 pm The reason your modem doesn't do 2+4 is because it's not supported on that modem.
Any benefit to a 4+4 vs 4 (or 2+2 vs 2). Again here I go assuming. I would assuming not lol. My speeds don’t look effected.
I do get band 12 here. Looks like I’ll see what that does with 2+12 or 4+12. It looks like it supports that unless I’m misreading.

Yes. It will increase your throughput compare to a single band.juicedupchaos wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2020 4:20 pm Any benefit to a 4+4 vs 4 (or 2+2 vs 2). Again here I go assuming. I would assuming not lol. My speeds don’t look effected.
