Re: Super Slow
You signal strength at -107db is very poor along with quality at -12db, which directly correlates with your low speeds.
You would want to aim for -70db/-14db or better, maybe try a good flat panel instead of the Yagis, they tend to perform better.

Re: Modem NOT identified
The only other experience I had with no phone tech support was just the week before. That was a real scam that I exposed and recovered from.
The lesson from that information is that there will be hard days and hard attitude seeking relief via getting into these products (personal conditions) of ...

Re: New setup with quectel ec25-af cat 4
Gscbeb pointed out. The mofi4500 sim7 has a Quectel ec25af inside.
Your looking for better antennas, if you want to keep your mofi. What does the signal info page show you.
Your iphone10 has a category 18 modem I think, at least a category 16, and bigh powered well engineered 4x mimo antennas ...

Re: Mofi 4500 and existing T-mobile hotspot SIM?
Another thing. Peeps need to stop looking up firmware updates, especially on modems, until its needed due to problems. I've seen story after story after story of locked up modems due to firmware updating gone wrong, and no one knows why they are updating. The general idea I get, 'Newest is best ...

Re: Using the mobile plan's unlimited calling feature for home phone service
It would be a curious project for sure. I don't think an analog RJ11 connected phone device would work per say since there is no dial tone on a cellular line. But some form of voice channel/port usage programming and some circuit wizardry would prob get the job done.

Using the mobile plan's unlimited calling feature for home phone service
The mobile data plan we use in our routers usually includes unlimited calling too, which is normally unused and wasted every month (except on the ATT iPad plan which doesn't include calling).
Most modems are both data and voice compatible, so I was wondering if anyone has been able to tap this ...

Re: T-Mobile HD Media Settings
Bill,
the video stream, if HTML5 is over HTTPS, is encypted - there should be no way, besides DPI, AFAIK for Tmobile to detect a HTTPS stream is video unless they are looking at IPs and matching them to known providers (like YT).
My IP theory has support from your observation that a regular ...

Re: Real life experience with Simple Mobile or PagePlus or TelTik
I am actually curious how USSDs work on phones - I have noticed that USSD codes like #3282# don't work on my unlocked phones but they do on locked phones, so there's something programmed into the locked phones where they work as intended while the unlocked phones don't know what to do with it ...

Re: Tracking down Verizon towers (specially B2/4/13)
about how much those antennae typically cost and what additional hardware like a metal mast, cabling and their associated cost etc is needed to support those antennae so they can actually be used?

Re: tmobile network fix
If someone here has these "HD streaming turned off" LTE plans (as Loorurban2 did before they enabled the option (for an additional fee?)), that they can double check by running Fast.com and getting poor results - can they rerun the test but now via a regular proxy, as Bill suggests, and confirm if ...

Re: Quectel EP06-A with Visible Wireless
Bill,
on another thread I made an assertion that: On Verizon, you can't stick in any IMEI that's not "approved" on their network and have it work like you can on ATT/Tmo.
I have some supporting evidence to my assertion, for example: Quectel even has a guide on how to whitelist their devices on ...

Re: PagePlus+Jetpack
Including Visible?
Can't do it on Visible, they use their own servers on top of Verizon's to slow down all data not just video, and also introduces a pretty high latency >150ms which makes gaming, voip and other time sensitive application useless.
You can get a PagePlus (Verizon towers) or ...
