Re: AT&T Unlimited for Tablet Plan Question
That's basically what I'm doing with a Raspberry Pi ( https://databurst.medium.com/running-easytether-and-wireguard-on-a-raspberry-pi-4-3804a2bc9447 ). That worked well for me with an Android phone on AT&T. I'm not running EasyTether my laptop or other LAN devices.

You're misunderstanding what problem I'm solving with EasyTether. It's not general speed, video throttling or otherwise.
I'm tethering to a tablet using USB on the AT&T $20 tablet plan. That plan has a hard throttle on all hotspot traffic to 128 kbps after 10 GB. It didn't do this until a couple ...

You're bypassing that by using a VPN and VISIBLE does not yet do that level of aggressive deep packet inspection yet.

Re: Wireguard on ROOter?
This seems like a good place to continue with another update.
Restarts are not working well. It took me a while to figure it out but I finally know what's happening. It's a common problem with WireGuard on routers with no battery backed real time clock.
You can set WireGuard to start on boot but ...

Re: AT&T Unlimited Elite (non-prepaid) 5x Lines - Game/Content Creation Internet
If Network Engineers are designing their infrastructure on less than 35GB per day, or 1TB a month then that is a failure on their end, and they are overselling "unlimited data". Here are some simple figures below....my PC has a 2k screen, and so does my oldest sons. So if we both watch a SINGLE 2k ...

Re: iptables not effecting
All cellular modems set behind CGNAT (carrier grade NAT). No access from the outside unless on specific plans through the carrier. Reverse ssh tunnel is typical solution for most I think. Might explain your issues?

Re: Wireguard on ROOter?
I think I have a reasonable solution to this:
Here's my script. I'm no expert at (b)ash so I'm sure this is not perfect but it seems to work. It assumes that the WireGuard server remote endpoint is also an NTP server. This is very simple to do (at least on Ubuntu) by installing something like ...

Re: How to Setup Wireguard on WE826?
but it would be more efficient to just run Wireguard directly from the router for all devices.
Not just more efficient but it hides more information from any sort of packet inspection. With a VPN on each device, I think it would be possible to look at the traffic, especially the return ports, and ...

Re: Need help change TTL, MTU and MSS in WiFiX
Things change, but in general it wasn't necessary to overcome hotspot data limits, as ATT seemed to use APNs for data use channeling. Not really sure to be honest, outside of that.LoveMeSomeCALTE wrote: Tue Oct 05, 2021 1:17 pm Didneywhorl, do you remember why modifying the Hop Limit field in IPv6 header wasn't recommended for ATT?
