Some have added exhaust fans to the enclosures, but me I’d leave it sealed to keep moisture out. It should be fine.

Getting some weird happenings with the Banana Pi. So testing with external usb enclosure worked, Sierra 7565 worked fine internally in the mini pcie slot, but my Telit lm960A18 seems to throw a fit. Says that no sim pin is set in the profile. Never seen that before.

WRT32X is still a beast, best I've used honestly. But they are getting harder to find and more expensive. If you can get them for around $150 I think they are the better option, but not for any enclosure, too big and heavy.

Found great documentation on OpenWRT on how to do this. If you follow this guide, only using the ROOter firmware linked above it works perfect and I was able to get it flashed over the EMMC and have it working well.

Update....
I see my usb stick in ROOter, looks like it mounts automatically, but when I try to execute
dd if=BananaPi-BPi-R3-GO2023-01-05-ext4.img of=/dev/mtdblock0
it says 'no such file or directory'
And I'm assuming using the ROOter firmware flash will only flash it to the sd, not NAND/EMMC ...
I see my usb stick in ROOter, looks like it mounts automatically, but when I try to execute

Thanks! That is what I figured, I've used the EM7455 and EM7565 pretty extensively with few issues. The Telit has been great too, but I've struggled more with the AT Commands for it and understanding how to configure it. Guess I'll give the 9191 a go... wish me luck.

Hey, helping a friend out with some setup and I'm having issues with their Page Plus sim. I moved them from an old Version LTE router, to a WG3536 with an LM960 modem. For some reason it will never connect. APN - vzwinternet. Any ideas? My VZW sim works no problem when swapped in.

Under Modem > Network Status I can see it use CA, usually B66 20mhz, B2 10mhz, B66 5mhz. But under Modem > Misc I don't have a UI option to bandlock (says bandlock not implemented for this modem). I'm on firmware version 2021-02-20 on a WG3526. Not sure if newer versions have this for a LM960 or not ...

I've been wondering the same. Mine tends to lock on B66 most of the time on Verizon, but will sometimes want to revert to B13 or B4 with much slower speeds. Wondering if there is a way to set CA to user B66 and B2 for example like I could with my 7565.

Sounds like you made some good improvements. Just wanted to say to be careful of attic heat. Last winter moved mine to attic and it worked great. Then when summer hit started to over heat up there in the attic. The attic itself was getting up to 130 to 140 degrees.

Also, I was able to get the modem to lock on B66 (20mhz) / B2 (15mhz) / B66 (mhz) finally using the excel spreadsheet and I am not getting on average around 75/25 for down/upload speeds. In the mornings the download is closer to 100mb down. Really happy with these speeds and will probably leave ...

I have upgraded the modem in the WG3526 to a Sierra 7565. Thank you for all the tips and tricks to get it successfully installed.
My issue is I am only able to pull speeds of about 13Mbps ...

First. The EM20 is a product no longer made. You'll have to get a rare new one or find a used one. The EM160 is soon to release and all the latest "5G" modems are 4x4 MIMO. That or the Telit LM960A18, Sierra 7690, and some of the SIMCOM and Fibocom modems are 4x4 MIMO. I only have experience so ...

Verizon and my best luck is locking on B2, but I receive several bands. See screen shot. The MOFI is super finicky with CA... B2 is my strongest band, but B13 and B4 are also pretty good. B4 will often go to 20mhz I can get even better speeds, but it'll jump between 5 and 20mhz all the time making ...

Hey,
Looking to upgrade my stock MOFI4500 to a custom setup. I'm considering the EM20 and EM7565 for this purpose but not sure the best route to take.
Currently I have:
2 yagi's > 40' of RG6 cable > 2x Wilson IoT boosters > Mofi4500 > Edgerouter4 > rest of my network.
Getting around 40-50 down ...
