WG3526 with new Sierra 7565 Modem running slowly
Good Evening, Firstly I want to thank everyone for all your help with my quest to get good internet speeds. I have upgraded the modem in the WG3526 to a Sierra 7565. Thank you for all the tips and tricks to get it successfully installed. My issue is I am only able to pull speeds of about 13Mbps on ...

Re: WG3526 and EP06-a modem--modem had gone missing
Actually, I got no joy. I broke down and purchased a 7565 modem since I wasn't thrilled with the speed anyway. I just got everything together today. Everything is fine, but my speeds are TERRIBLE. I'm going to post this in a different thread tomorrow, though. All my signaling is good to excellent ...

WG3526 and EP06-a modem--modem had gone missing
I have been trying to get this pair working well together for the last few weeks. I was having issues before which were fixed by a SW re-install. I followed the build doc on here and then config'ed it based on the tutorial. I had it running for a few days. Then we lost power due to a storm, not near ...

Re: WG3526 with Quectel EP06 modem shows “connecting” continuously
UPDATE: I tried another install, and everything cleared up. I guess it was a SW glitch.

Re: WG3526 with Quectel EP06 modem shows “connecting” continuously
Ok. So on reboot, the log showed a bunch more info that gets overwritten on the wrap. I do see the vzwinternet being passed from the device it seems. I see 6 entries for IPV4V6 in one of the entries. A little further down there was an error 303 timeout that showed up in the log. Does that mean ...

Re: WG3526 with Quectel EP06 modem shows “connecting” continuously
I am still working on this.... But what are the risks involved in resetting the modem to OEM state? I hate lines like ”at your own risk.”

Re: WG3526 with Quectel EP06 modem shows “connecting” continuously
The sim works in its original phone. We can get to the Internet from it and can make calls etc.
Any ideas?

Re: WG3526 with Quectel EP06 modem shows “connecting” continuously
Providing I am looking in the correct place.... no, I don't.
I seem to have the same AT command being run every 40 seconds or so.
/dev/ttyusb2 AT+CPMS=”SM” +CPMS : 0,0,0,0,0,0
That shows as far as I can roll back in the Modem: Debug Info log file

Re: WG3526 with Quectel EP06 modem shows “connecting” continuously
UPDATE: I have been poking around, and I'm not confident the device is pushing out requests to connect to the Verizon network. Under Modem: Connection Log... I see ONE LINE only; It says ”attempting to connect modem #1 (Quectel EP06-A)”... That request was made ONE HOUR before I posted this. I would ...

WG3526 with Quectel EP06 modem shows “connecting” continuously
First off, I am new to this but not to computers. I thought I had this working until we lost power. Upon startup, the modem shows in the provider's slot ”connecting” continuously instead of Verizon as it used too. I have had this working since last Saturday and it went offline last evening. No set ...

I was just coming to delete this post. I re-ran the update and it connected perfectly.
We are having issues with speed, but I'll ask about that tomorrow

EM06-A and Verizon are not playing well together!
Ok. I received my wg3526 this evening and decided to get it set up. Or at least that was the plan. I had issues getting the device to load the wifi config for the rom. I fixed that via the walkthrough on how to attach via the console; THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! Then I had to figure out the Chinese that ...

Re: Understanding the SIM card with the modem
Thank you for the response. I am already using Verizon service. We have an iPhone which is linked to a wifi router as a modem, but we continuously get screwed by the 15GB limit. I had a student recommend this site and set up. I have a device on order and hopefully will find the setup ad easy as the ...

Understanding the SIM card with the modem
Please forgive the noob questions, but I am a bit new to this. I understand the necessity of the modem and the sim card. My question is, can I pull the sim out of a phone ad use it in the modem? I currently have an iPhone attached to a wap. We use up the data relatively quickly since the phone sees ...
