Will one antenna work for multiple TP link routers

Post by Demspey1991 »

Hi there,

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to connecting antennas to routers. I currently have multiple TP-Link AC750 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 4G Routers that are dotted around my office but i wanna get better reception on each of them.

Would it be possible for me to get a single outdoor antenna put up then have each of the routers hooked into the one antenna?

Made a little diagram so you can see what i mean - Is this possible?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Nope, unfortunately.

At best your modem will see TONS of signal noise from the other modems connected in parallel. At worst, you'll damage the modems by dead shorting them together.

Separate antennas for each port.

(Note, this may be possible with VERY expensive RF cable isolation type splitter systems, but not worth the cost in this use case)
