Securing u.fl and mhf4 connectors

Post by datashuttle »

I have EM7455 and MC7455 cards with the subject connectors, one of which in a vehicle and subject to frequent jarring/bouncing just due to the vehicle. Is there a glue/paste/etc. that one could use to help secure the radio connections? I've noticed that these connections can pop free simply by moving the connecting coax a little.

Most laptops that I have taken apart used some kind of tape to secure the antenna wires from moving around. I’m assuming if that works for laptops that get thrown around it might work for your situation.

Not exactly sure of the type of tape though. Maybe Kapton?

Hot glue. glob it on. It comes off with gentle prying and some heat. Use it all the time.
