EM7566 - LTE+

Post by Prvt.N00b »

Hi everyone,

is there a way to know when my modem is connected to an LTE+ tower or using LTE+, or do I have to assume that if the modem is showing carrier aggregation then is using LTE+.

Thanks

Yes there is, if you go to Modem --> Network Status --> and look under Signal Status, you should see the Network Icon that tells you if you are on LTE or less. For Carrier Aggregation, go further down the page to Cell Information and look at Band status. Here it will display what band your modem is using plus any additional bands that are being utilized for Carrier Aggregation. Carrier Aggregation is not a full time process, I have only see CA being utilized under heavy load for my devices.

The next important place to look is Modem --> Debug Information and you can see the status of your modem and it's connection.

Lastly, if you want to see a quick snapshot of your modem and connection (even though it is displayed on the Debug Information page), you go to Modem --> Miscellaneous and paste the following into the AT-Command:

Code: Select all

AT!GSTATUS?
Should look something like this:

Code: Select all

AT!GSTATUS?
