I purchased a Quectel EM20-G modem from the The Wireless Haven site and it arrived with firmware version EM20GRAR01A08M4G. I was forced to downgrade this to the 06 version at the time due to the router firmware not supporting this latest engineering release. The new WiFiX firmware now supports the latest 08 version, but I’m unable to find the download online. Does anyone have access to this? I tried contacting Quectel directly, but they wouldn't provide this to me. They responded saying that the company I ordered it from had to contact them in order to get it.
Any help in these regards is much appreciated.

Is the 08 version better than the 06 I too downgraded my em20. Just wondering if it's even worth upgrading it again

If it works, Id say leave it. But the latest version works fine in the newer rooter firmware on certain routers. If your router doesnt have a mid to late May firmware or newer, Id say wait.
